We had some rain and it was fine......in general needs to be remodel, key locks in the rooms instead of card, furniture and carpet a little old and wear out, but if they do some improvements is definitely worth the price.

Room Tip: A little noisy since the pool is open 24 hrs.

I've been coming here since I was 1 year old. It is like a second home. Every person I recommend this place to becomes regular visitors. The pools are natural mineral springs so when you soak in them you really feel as though your body has been healed and relaxed by minerals. You also won't find a place with so many pools so close and conveniently placed. The convenience of the rooms opening up to all the pools is great too. They are not shy on very reasonably priced drink pours. The food is excellent and well priced. If you are looking for a fancy place, this is not for you. It is more like a Motel than a Hotel; however, it is clean and well run

Room Tip: Best rooms are 101-109

The title says it all, Desert Hot Springs is a "Convenient Desert Relaxation Hideaway"! As a Torrance resident the resort is close enough for a enjoyable car trip yet far enough away to leave the L.A. "hang ups" in the rear view mirror (hence hideaway).

Room Tip: Go high and away from poolside to sleep soundly.

Living in Sacramento with family in Az, DHSSH is a convenient place to stop. Although there are lot s of kids sometimes, we can always find a pool that works for us. Over the last 10 yrs we have always found that the staff is very friendly and helpful. We are in our mid 60's and have been to many hot spring spas across the country. This is not an exclusive, fancy, members only type of spa for $600.00 or more per night but more of a family place. I don't think I have ever submitted a "review" for lodging before but felt that some of the other "reviews" were not accurate or realistic. The various rooms we have had in the past have ranged from acceptable to very nice. The linens and towels have always been very good. The on site coffee shop is very good and reasonable. There is also a bar which will bring cold drinks to you in the pools and let you charge it to your room. Very convenient. Over all the spa is clean, safe, and reasonable. We expect to continue to stop here when passing through the area.

Room Tip: Ask front desk for what you would like. eg walk out to the pool, least expensive, etc.
