Lake Francis RV Resort
Reviewed 19 August 2014

This last trip to lake Francis is our fourth trip to the resort. My wife and I had site B5 and our adult children had two tent sites l14 and l16, it was a busy weekend and you expect a little noise however there was a group of rowdy young men and women partying drinking shots and being very loud all night long. My question is where is their security? My son in law went to the office on Saturday to complain he was told there would be someone checking things that night, this did not happen! Poor management!!!! In the tent area around L14 and L16 expect other campers to walk right through your campsite to get to the restrooms. Not a happy camper.

We rented a deluxe. Cabin that slept 8 or more. It was very very small, super small like claustrophobic. Other then that it was ok. It has a small porch, microwave, fridge, all utensils needed. Water was very hot. Two burner hot plate. Lake was directly across the street for easy access. The Palace restaurant was very good with great prices. Pool nice as well. Unfortunately the coffee/ice cream place was closed.

The two roads leading to the park (Old Dobbins Rd and Lake Frances Rd.) both have some branches that will try and grab your RV so be careful as you drive to the resort. The entrance to the RV Park is about a city block before the office. You can either pull into the RV Park and walk to the office or continue on down the road and park across the street from the office in loop for check-in. Navigating in the park is a little tricky with a larger Class A. Roads are narrow and signage is not the best. We parked in B6. The site was not level and took some jockeying of the coach to get situated so it would not take too much work for the leveling system to do it's job. Electrical was reliable, water pressure fair. Spaces had a decent amount of space between neighbors. Very quiet and peaceful at night, quiet time seemed to be observed by everyone. The lake is very pretty with picnic tables and rental paddle boats. The resort has a good restaurant, ice cream bar and there is a small store in the reception office. The pool is clean and should be a welcome spot to enjoy in the summer. The bathroom and shower areas are kept very clean.
The resort also has cabins that are available for rent. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The allowed us to do a late check out and gave good advice on local sights to see.
