I followed the advice found here on the Trip Advisor, and stayed at Cave Springs on my way south (from Vancouver BC to Los Angeles). The room was more than fine, but what really made it special was the hospitality. Everyone was friendly and helpful, pointing me on a wonderful hike to a nearby waterfalls, and suggesting the perfect place for dinner. I had a small problem with the Wi-Fi, but they jumped right on it, and fixed it immediately. Thank you Cave Springs Resort, i shall look forward to my next road trip.

Cave Springs is a warm and welcoming place to stay from the moment you step up to the front desk. The management and staff are all about making sure that you feel comfortable in their (amazingly beautiful) corner of the world. The rooms and cabins are simply furnished but well maintained, clean and neat. The true draw of Cave Springs is the scenic beauty as it is right on the Sacramento River and just a short drive from Mt. Shasta. The pool, hot tub (truly lovely on a cold winter night and a warmer walk back to the room in the summer) and the bocce ball court on the grassy center lawn offer recreational options without leaving the grounds. The friendly vibe can make even a newcomer feel like part of the community!

We've been staying at Cave Springs for over 25 years for our family get together each and every year in July. We love going because it's a great place to unwind, be with the people you love, and "Not Do Fancy" ....it's great to unplug from the big city and savor the small town...Cave Springs is the Best Burger motel around! It's back to basics at it's best. If you want "Steak" well, this isn't your place. We love the owners and they are sincerely wonderful. Stay at Cave Springs! You'll savor the moments created by the sweetest environment and yummy sights and sounds of Dunsmuir. Caroline C.

What a cute place to stay in a great small town; right next to the river with a hot tub ;-) The best Thai place around is only a 5 min walk away, and Mount Shasta ski resort is only 15 min down the road!

We have been coming to Cave Springs for over 30 years and we absolutely love the place! It is a friendly, family run business with enough options to please anyone.
For those wanting an up-scale vacation, they have a series of houses and cabins that range from absolutely luxurious to quaint and comfortable. Our favorite high end rental is Three Vistas but they have a variety of modern, comfortable cabins along the river with various price ranges.
For those looking for a motel to spend the night, they have a row of clean, reasonably priced motel rooms with unexpected extras like free internet, cable TV, microwave and refrigerator.
For those on a tight budget, you can't find a better deal than the rustic 1920 cabins. Think Curry Village type cabins but with extras- refrigerators, antique cooking stove, outdoor grill, cooking utensils. Where there are complaints about Cave Springs, they appear to be about those cabins. If you don't like rustic, go for the higher end cabins. These are 1920's style but with comfortable beds and exceptionally good pricing. With the swimming pool, hot tub, swing set and bacchi ball court this makes for an ideal discount family vacation-but not for everyone.
Best of all are the hosts- Louie and Belinda. I have never found warmer more personable individuals. They really care about your stay and go that extra mile to make sure that your needs are met.

After staying just one night at Cave Springs Resort I feel like "family". This is definitely the best place to stay in Dunsmuir when you consider the rates : comfort ratio...and the Deweys just send that rating over the top! Friendly, helpful and down-to-earth atmosphere! Thanks, guys!
