“Best Hotel in Palo Alto”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

This is the best hotel in Palo Alto... but if you are expecting your typical Four Seasons experience you will be disappointed. The location is odd: at the side of the freeway in an office park and there is nothing of interest within walking distance. This is a classic business travelers hotel: if you are vacationing you will do much better to head to San Francisco or over to the Ritz at Half Moon Bay. Or if you want a close 'vacationing option' head to the Rosewood.

The room does provide some Four Seasons branded computer cords and accessories: a nice touch for the tech heavy visitors. The bathroom is ample and laid out like many other Four Seasons business hotels.

The spa is nice. Not as luxurious as the nearby Rosewood, but still a solid experience. I have had a few massages and a facial- happy with all.

The highlight of the hotel is the rooftop pool, which feels like a tiny mini-oasis. You can order lunch or cocktails by the pool and nearly fool yourself you aren't on the edge of east Palo Alto.

The restaurant downstairs is good both for socializing and business meetings. While not designed to be child-friendly they are wonderfully accommodating.

No smallest request to the a difficult one is impossible to do. I think this is the by word of this hotel. I was amazed that the house keeping staff covered my half empty glass of water and also put a coaster under it. The staff all across this hotel deserves a big "pat on the back".
The management deserves lots of praise for running this hotel so perfectly. Well done and keep running this hotel as a "Perfect" hotel should be.

Room Tip: Try and get rooms over looking the hills. The sunset is just perfect to see.

Visited a year back and it was nice to see that this was better this time around. They still have a weird 12.00 parking fee which for us was off by 1 day since we picked up a car later than we arrived but not a big deal.

From our first second in the hotel Walter/Walt the manager at the Front Desk made us feel welcomed, remembered, and important. Never have we felt that welcome at any other property. In fact , he was so graceful and welcoming that it made me change an upcoming trip to another 4Seasons hotel.

I had mentioned briefly that it is was my wife's birthday and Cynthia the office supervisor then made it special at every turn , from the restaurant to a special surprise on the afternoon she made it wonderful.

I can't say enough about the people, even the restaurant had amazing staff, Carmelio remembered my breakfast preferences from 1 year ago and Erica made every visit perfect by welcoming us and knowing exactly where we wanted to sit and our favorites, including the Fever Tree GingerAle with a lime. She was so graceful and kind that she set a standard few others will meet.

The only oddity we had was my breakfast, of the Italian Benedict was 50% less than what was served later days and I thought the Spa were not as polite as they could be. Neither of these detracted from the visit because everyone else was so perfect.

The bed is insanely comfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from elevators.

The hotel was situated in a quiet residential area but still close to great restaurants, shopping, and expressway routes. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and the amenities were stellar. I still cannot get over the amazing salt water pool! It was the most amazing way to spend Valentine's Day!

Room Tip: Just to able to stay in the hotel is an amazing treat!

This is a fantastic Four Seasons property. The rooms were spacious and in excellent shape. Although there aren't many restaurants within the hotel, the few that are there have really good food and very friendly and helpful service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with business in Palo Alto.

Great hotel, if a little pricey at times. The pool and the fitness area make this stand out for me and give you the exclusivity and privacy you need after a long flight from the UK. The staff are always incredibly friendly and professional.

The only downside with this hotel are if the room faces the 101 Freeway, which is a little disappointing for such a high-end hotel and the price paid. If you can get a room looking on to the front of the hotel, take it.

Room Tip: Ask for one facing the front not over the 101.

I stayed only a night, but the hotel was well designed and the service was great. Shower was top notch. Great water pressure. Meals were very good too. Affordable ($250?) on the weekend. No parking charge.
