“Prices, quality and quanity”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

We ate here this evening and we're very, very disappointed to say the least. My husband ordered the fried chicken @ $14.50 he received a quarter of a small chicken that consisted of a very small leg and thigh along with some fries. The chicken was supposed to be seasoned with secret house spices and deep fried, it was over cooked and the seasoning is still a secret, his way of saying that there was a total lack of seasoning. I ordered the specialty pizza which was not special it consisted of the minimal amount of sauce and topping$13.50. What was received for the price you should consider other eateries. After complaining the bill was reduced by two dollars but on a bright note the waitress was efficient and pleasant. I am only writing this negative review to warn perspective dinners before they too are taken advantage of.

“Great veggie burger”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

We've eaten at this pub several times, and it's small, but great. The veggie burger was delicious and they had some good local beers on top. No liquor, but that's true of everywhere in Elk.

“Cute restaurant, good food”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

I had serious doubts about eating here. It is one of two restaurants in Elk. The night we went there was one waitress and I envisioned it taking hours to eat. Also, while the menu does have pub food, it also has Mexican dishes, Italian dishes, burgers and salads. I always wonder about restaurants that seem to have an identity crisis. But I was very pleasantly surprised. We shared a spinach salad, which had spinach, cranberries, almonds and feta cheese with a blueberry vinaigrette. It was very good. We also shared the fish and chips, which consisted of two large pieces of tilapia and fries and a side of coleslaw. Both the fish and the French fries were fried to perfection and the tartar sauce that came with the fish was homemade and delicious. My fears of bad service were also unfounded as our waitress was very prompt and our food came out quickly. The next night we shared the calamari (tasty but too tough for my liking), house salad (large and good) and the brie burger (very good and large enough to share if you have a smaller appetite). We spoke with diners who got the chicken pot pie and the beet salad and they said those dishes were excellent as well. For a small town restaurant, Bridget Dolan’s Pub is an excellent choice.
