“Great food!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

The food is very good! The fish is very fresh. Our kids love the fish and chips. The fish of the day is always a good choice, but my favorite is the calamari :-)

“Just mediocre. ”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Don't understand what all the hype is about this place. The poke was the best thing on the menu. The fish tacos & shrimp tacos were soggy with little flavor. The guacamole served with the entrees was spoiled & ruined the meal. We asked for fresh guacamole & it tasted the same. Obviously the cooks don't taste what they serve. Save your time & money -- go to Long John Silvers.

“Little dive with great food”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

We stumbled upon this restaurant while strolling down the street in Encinitas. There was a very long line, very little space, but the consensus of the crowd was that it was well worth the wait. It truly did not take long to place our order and then proceed to grab a table. We all felt that the food was very fresh and delicious. It had the same feel as if you were stopping at a clam shack. We enjoyed the experience and would go back. The food was quite reasonable and the portions were a good size. Fish tacos were the favorite in our crowd.

“Really? Ranked #3 in Encinitas”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

It was alright but I am never going back. I don't see the attraction that everyone seems to have with this place. Seems like bait & switch, they add an extra charge to the menu price for different items. If the price changes daily put market price on the menu. Where shall I start? Parking sucks. Long line to order than find a table. The fish used on my fish taco had no flavor. The piece of salmon we paid $17.00 for was tiny. Our fries were limp and greasy. The quinoa salad was flavorless. The avocado used on my taco was fine as was the cole slaw. Nope, this place gets a thumbs down from me.

“Quirky, Seaside joint”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

This is right along the Pacific Coast Highway, a little north of downtown Encinitas. We thought we were waiting in line for a table and it turns out, you order waht you want to eat then go grab a table, if you can find one. There is a little patio out back and a couple of tables inside. If posh and fancy is what you are looking for, don't bother coming here. However, the fish was wonderful. I had the fresh fish of the day, halibut. It was very light and flaky, Tasted very fresh. My wife had the salmon and it was also very good. Highly recommend this place, don't wear your tux...
