We ate a late breakfast at The Lumberyard Tavern recently. The food was wonderful, large portions, and reasonably priced with friendly service. Large screen TVs offer great views of sporting events. We watched the World Cup, Germany vs Iran. Lots of Germany jerseys around . Outside dining is available. Only complaint, Bad Coffee!

My s/I thought he could do the 4x4 challenge....several pounds of burger and fries later he fell short but came close. The waitstaff was friendly, encouraging. I had the house salad and 101 shrimp which were great. Tons of toppings and serving sizes, and a decent craft selection with patio seating.

Thank Kimberly C

Stopped here while driving the coast and enjoying the scenery. Sat on the patio and ordered a couple beverges which came in no time. We ordered the special of the day which was a beef in a bun type of meal- tasted great. Watched a little football on the screen which were all over the place and then we were off to see more of sunny and warm California!

Plenty of TV's all marked with which game is on. Hostess asks which game you would like to be seated near, very nice touch. Food was good, service also. Would go back often.

A very interesting menu for a place that appears to be more bar than restaurant. A friend and I went for a Friday lunch and were both drawn to the Prime Rib sandwich. Thin sliced with grilled onions, mushrooms, green peppers, cheddar and creamy horseradish sauce on a baguette. It was quite good. The claim of horseradish dressing was easy to miss. They might have forgotten it.
For me the real star was the soup du jour which was a spicy chicken. I'd go back over and over again just for that. This was an excellent home/restaurant made soup. I'm looking forward to trying other soups there.
Other eye catching items on the menu for another day, Jambalaya, Osso Bucco and a great array of sandwiches.
They also have an excellent selection of beers on tap.
