Loved the experience at Stone Brewing in Escondido! Indoors or outdoors, dine comfortably with some of the best creations ever. Start with the hand rolled pretzels with mustard and end with the brownie sundae, a must for sharing. After your meal, walk off the brownie indulgence by touring the brewery or walking the gardens. Then, enjoy a professionally crafted beer at your leisure- NO rush. Stone is a dining experience you don't want to miss when in Escondido!

We found this restaurant by looking for "Farm To Table" restaurants in Escondido, CA. GPS took us to the spot, but it's not well marked. Walking into the brewery was nice with vegetation and once inside, we were amazed at what we saw. Stone Brewing Co. Is home to America's 10th largest craft brewery. They have guided tours with tasting during the day. There in-house restaurant, named Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens has floor to floor windows that show off the huge fermentation tanks. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is where we sat. There is a connecting garden with a small pond and a walking path. You can order a beer and go for a walk while you wait for your dinner. Dinner, to say the least, was amazing! I had their special, which was the brisket dinner. All of their food is farm fresh. They also make their desserts. Our server's name was Gabriel and he was amazing at making us feel very welcome. He gave us history on The Stone Brewery and told us of upcoming events. We enjoyed his company and the bistro so much that we are going back there for dinner, again, before our vacation is over.

Stone is one of the originals of the craft beer scene and the brewery is a must visit. It is an absolutely beautiful restaurant and gardens, which is a bit surprising while approaching the area as it looks like an average industrial park. The food is delicious and interesting but the beer is the star here. They always have the old favorites on tap, as well as a few specials and one ofs. I was lucky enough to be there while they had their smoked porter made with Vietnamese coffee and milk sugar on cask. They have a good selection of beers to take with you and you can always get growlers of whats on tap as well. All in all the food, beer and surroundings make this a must visit while in the area.

Their food is organic, eclectic, unusual, and very good. Do not expect to find fried chicken, or prime rib, or BBQ on the menu, but expect a very good meal. You are wise if you check their website and view the menu before you go, so that you are not disappointed.

One of the best micro breweries in the US, and certainly in the top five in San Diego. They have a beer style for everyone, and if you do not like at least one their beers, then you do not like beer. I have tried a lot of different beers at Stone, and while I like most, there are some that I would not give to my worst enemy.

Oh, and do not look for a sign on the outside of the building that says "STONE BREWING" one does not exist.
