This was our first visit to Eureka and stay in this bed and breakfast. Our room was located across the street on the bottom floor. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We attended the wine reception and had their cookies and tea in the evening. Both were lovely. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was delicious! We did walk into town during the day and again for dinner. We saw many homeless people but no one bothered us. We felt very safe! The only negative was that we never saw anyone in the building we stayed in. Later in the evening we heard voices and footsteps but never saw anyone. Part of the charm of a B&B is meeting people and fortunately we had that opportunity during the wine and tea outings. I did feel a bit uncomfortable not being able to lock our bedroom door but there was a lock on the door at the top of the stairs leading to our room. I would definitely stay there again, perhaps where the other people are in the main building. It is a great place!
