This is an excellent area for people to go fishing and spend time. The area has awesome natural beauty and wildlife to view. The owners and staff at this lodge stop and nothing to make you feel welcome and make the most of your experience there. Although guides are available and offered for hire, they are very open with their suggestions of areas to go for the best results and the techniques that are working well.

The food at this establishment is first rate, and not what you would expect at a remote location like this. The food is fresh and made to order for every meal, and the fact that most meals are served restaurant style makes it all that much more enjoyable. The hours that the restaurant is open allows the guests to make the most of their stay at this location.

The accommodations are well maintained, and comfortable. The staff makes a point of making every aspect of the stay there enjoyable.

I have been fortunate enough to visit Duncanby about 8-9 times. They have the best staff, the best food, great accomodations for all types of travelers (corporate groups, guys trips, couples, families, you name it), the scenerary will knock your socks off and the fishing is fantastic. If you're looking for springs, coho or halibut this is the place that does it right. No early morning bells, fish when you want.
No "one meal" fits all - eat what you want when you want (Alison's fried chicken at 10am-you betcha!). Easy direct fly in service from Vancouver. If you haven't been salmon fishing in BC - this is the place to go!

If you're someone who like to fish or even just experience the majesty of the BC wilderness, Duncanby is for you. Make no mistake though, this is a luxury place where the fishing neophyte is just as able to "limit out" their fish count as the experienced angler.

Just returned from a 4 night, 5 day stay at the fabulous Duncanby Lodge in breathtaking Rivers Inlet, BC. It's all about fishing in this neck of the woods and when all 30+ guests limit out, you know it can't get any better. My hubby caught a 35 lb Chinook, and I ended up third in the Coho derby with my 13 pounder. Add that to the other 7 salmon each we caught, plus halibut and rock fish and our freezer will be full for the winter! The lodge itself is perfectly situated for easy access to all the local hot spots, accommodation excellent in newer waterfront cabins. Restaurant is top notch and a la carte, eat when you want from the menu, or take a picnic out on the water for the day. The last night is Feast Night, delicious prime rib and the biggest yorkshire pudding you have ever seen. Desserts are to die for. Service service service, the staff are attentive and call you by name. Lodge owners and hosts extraordinaire Sid and Leigh really know how to keep the guests happy and coming back year after year. By the time you leave, you truly are part of the "Duncanby Family". You should go! PS The photo associated with this Trip Advisor listing must be really old. The lodge has been completely renovated and redone by the present owners. See my photos with the red roofs...

I was invited by a customer. We had a great time. Fishing was great. Food was good and the formula is a la carte. Local wines and beers are included in the price.
Beds are very comfortable and the cottages have all needed amenities.
Excellent service
