Great soup and sandwiches, made fresh. Potato leek soup is fantastic!! They make their own focaccia. Clean and friendly, you can't beat this place.

“Probably the best lunch in the area.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 June 2013 via mobile

This is a great little cafe, everything freshly made and delicious. The place is brightly decorated and spotless. We had a great potato leek soup, my wife had a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and I had the ham and cheese on whole grain bread. Both were perfect. They are open for dinner as well. Owner, Michael, will make you feel like you are his favorite customer. This place is a find.

“A Delightful Cafe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2013

We stopped in for a late lunch & were treated like old friends. We had a cup of the soup de jour, chicken salad sandwhiches & iced-teas. We ate outside on the shaded patio. It was very relaxing. The service was prefect, tho late in the day. The soup & sandwhiches were fresh & quite tasty. Cafe des Artistes hit the spot. Will return for dinner!

“This is the finest quality resturaunt In Fallbrook.”

Great freshly made very high quality menu
Sadly only open for lunch. Mikey's daily specials feature hand made soups and
Several sandwiches. There is nothing to complain about The cafe d'artist.

“Hidden Lunch Spot and more?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2012

The Cafe des Artistes is a hidden place that one must "know" to find. In the rear of the Fallbrook Art Gallery, at North Main and Alvarado, you enter from the alley.

Your reward for the trip?

A gourmet meal with a decent selection of wines that belies the restaurant's size.

Predictable? No. You'd never know a place like this exists, but once you do, you'd never imagine the town without it.
