We stayed in Little Pine cabin 4 days while visiting Yosemite. The cabin offers a perfect setup for a quick start in the morning and comfortable place to relax at the end of a day of touring. Everything is very nice, but MOST IMPRESSIVE was the really fully stocked kitchen that included breakfast items like oatmeal, coffee, and other snacks that eliminated the need for an extensive grocery shopping trip, but gave us plenty to get going in the morning. The shower is excellent quality and stocked with plush towels and plenty of soap, shampoo and other items. Bed is comfy and the couches are nice for relaxing with a little cable TV (or wifi surfing) in the evening.
Nice dinner restaurants are 2 minutes away at Tenaya Lodge, and there's a more casual pizza place next door to Tenaya.
I highly recommend taking the YARTS bus to visit the Yosemite Valley area. Park your car and catch the bus at the pizza place (2 min drive), then shuttle around the valley and avoid the insane traffic. NOTE: YARTS drops you off on the return about 100 yards up the road from the pickup point, so be prepared to carry your daypack a short distance back to your car. (Bad design by YARTS!) --- When you go to the Glacier Point area, it's better to take your car (early morning), which will save ~ 2 hrs of extra bus riding to the valley and then back to Glacier Point!!
Yosemite Forest Lodge Big Pine Cabin in Fish Camp, California. We booked this for family to attend our son's wedding at Tenaya Lodge. It's location was amazing - basically across the street! This felt like home right away. - it was the best supplied and most comfortable place we have ever stayed. There were lots of blankets, extra towels, sheets, blankets, etc. In the bathrooms, nothing was forgotten, including shampoos and lotions, and the kitchen! Every imaginable appliance, utensil, and dishes. There was even spices, condiments, and a full cabinet of different types of tea! The owner was wonderful to work with from the very start. We would definitely stay here again!!
