I stayed at this Kibbutz for 6 weeks in the summer of 2014 as part of an archaeology team excavating the ancient city of Hazor. This is the third kibbutz in northern Israel I have stayed at, and by far the best. It is located near the base of the Golan Heights, a little ways up to give a great view.
It would be an excellent place for tourists to stay for 2 nights while exploring Biblical/historical sites in the north including the ancient cities of Hazor, Megiddo, and Dan, plus the springs at Dan (one of the three water sources of the Jordan river), castle Nimrod, and wineries in the Golan Heights. You do need a rental car or van. It is not close to bus routes.
The large dining room has floor to ceiling windows looking north over the Hula valley towards the mountains bordering Lebanon. It's a beautiful scene to see during every meal - a real highlight in my opinion. The food is very good, with lots of variety. The dining room has free WiFi, but the rooms do not. The rooms are very clean and have air conditioning. The swimming pool is very good. The staff is friendly and service is very good.
