Amazing place. Totally worth the expense. We stayed for 3 nights in a king deluxe room. The rooms are HUGE with amazing beds and wonderful bathroom. We had a patio near the chicken coop which was very private and nice. The best part is the COOKIES every evening. Maybe the best cookie I have ever eaten.

Also, if you stay make sure to take advantage of the nightly wine tasting hour. It’s a great way to taste wineries for free and meet other guests. Everyone we met from the owners to the staff to other guests were super friendly. Most of the other guests had been before and Farmhouse is the ONLY place they stay when coming to Sonoma.

My wife liked the look and feel of the room so much we are going to design our new bathroom remodel in the same way. Thanks for the inspiration, Farmhouse!

Dear NYCking,

We're delighted to know that you and your wife enjoyed your time with us here at the Farmhouse! The cookies are pretty unbelievable really. I couldn't agree more; and they're Gluten Free too! Amazing-

We're so glad that you enjoyed our nightly wine hour. As mentioned, our wine hour features a different winery each night. It's always a lot of fun to bring our guests together over a couple bottles of local Sonoma County wine.

We look forward to your return and hearing about your new "Farmhouse remodel". As they say, imitation is the best form of flattery....

With gratitude,

My husband and I visited the property a couple of years ago and had very fond memories of it. We decided to visit it again for our wedding anniversary this year. While the overall property and the room was still as magnificent as ever, the overall service and uniqueness of the service went down. We would have preferred to pay more per night, but believe more complimentary special services on top of wine hour, s'mores should be offered throughout the day to make guests feel extra special. These could include breakfast service, lunch snacks and drinks by the pool, and going away gift, plus any other special services that would make this luxury property continue to stand out. That way there's a reason to go back and anticipate something new and special each time as part of unexpected delight and surprise. Luxury travelers have many choices these days so it takes continued dedication to ensure we continue to come back to places we have visited in the past. To compare, one of such places is Hotel Bellevue Syrene in Sorrento.

Natalia,
Thank you for your comments. While the Farmhouse offers many complimentary services (welcome wine, complimentary bath products, s'mores, in room snacks, hosted wine hour with cheese, charcuterie etc.. selection of coffee, tea, waters, and soft drinks, gym passes, winery partner tastings, and evening Tesla driven house car, etc) we always want to surprise and delight our guests as often as possible. We will consider your ideas as we continue to strive to provide the most memorable and unique wine country experience available. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Farmhouse again one day soon.

With gratitude,

Hi Thomas.

I don’t usually take the time to write feedback emails, but you guys absolutely deserve to know that you were the highlight of our week long trip that started us there at the Farmhouse Inn then took us 1,000 miles south, stopping elsewhere along the way. We knew that the inn would be the highest caliber of the places we stayed, but now that we’ve experienced it I can comment not only on the lovely accommodations, but the incredible, beautifully presented meals, the wine pairing that went with our dinner, the overall tone of the place (laid back but professional and friendly) and the wonderful setting.

We had heard of Randall Kimps in advance of our trip, but your concierge made the arrangements for us. Our outing with him exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved the small, boutique winery experiences he shared with us, the picnic lunch he provided us and his midwestern affability - not to mention his knowledge of wines, wineries and the people he is introducing us to. EXCELLENT!

We couldn’t have asked for anything more other than a longer stay.

Best,

Gigi & David Priebe

Thank you for mentioning Randall's tour as well. We've had fun sharing your feedback with him. He certainly is an asset to the wine country.

I spent 2 nights at this stunning property. From the moment I arrived I felt completely taken care of. Every detail is looked after here, I was able to relax, let go and enjoy! The room was the finest I have ever stayed in with the indoor/outdoor fireplace, deep Jacuzzi tub, steam shower and the most comfortable bed ever! And of course many find local wines and delicious fresh food available. The spa was fantastic I had a honey ginger 90 minute massage which was complete bliss. I cannot wait to return to this property!

Farmhouse Inn is an ideal destination for a getaway, especially if you live in the Bay Area and want to treat yourself. For my birthday, my husband and I drove up from San Francisco for dinner and an overnight stay. The four-course meal and wine pairing was superb at the restaurant, living up to its stellar reputation and Michelin star rating. Service at the table was genial, seasoned and knowledgeable. In fact, the level of service throughout our stay was professional and unobtrusive.

After dinner, we returned to our room to find the turn-down service included warm chocolate chip cookies that were out of this world. Our large room and bathroom were elegant without being pretentious. The double-sided fireplace faced the bed on one side and private outdoor deck on the other. Outside, it was quiet, with barely a breeze blowing through the redwoods. Step inside and pamper yourself in your own steam sauna shower or hot tub bath. There is also satellite television and WiFi included with the room (It’s so annoying when luxury hotels add a surcharge for internet access). Our only regret during the visit was not having time to book an appointment at the in-house spa.

Room Tip: Rooms up the hill and furthest away from the parking lot are quiet, have private decks and a view.

Dear rghSF,

Thank you so much for celebrating your Birthday with us here at the Farmhouse. We're delighted to learn that the service and flavors of your four course Michelin star dinner exceeded your expectations. We're so happy that, not having to drive back to the city, you had a relaxing evening and enjoyed the amenities in your room (including those cookies!). Please come back and see us again soon- no need to wait for your Birthday! Next time save some time for a spa treatment; you deserve it!

Warmly,
Thomas Schwarting
