We happened upon this restaurant by chance while touring Sonoma County. We had just finished a winery visit and we were in search of lunch. We rolled into a small town and found this shining star! It was 3pm and the restaurant had actually just closed for lunch, but the chef and owner (?) himself welcomed us with open arms and invited us to stay for lunch. He actually sat us, cook our meal and served us. We had expert explanations of all the dishes. We were seated outside in back, which has rustic style tables under a trellis of Wisteria and more tables under the trees. The setting was beautiful and I can imagine quit romantic at night. The Chef kindly offered us a salmon amuse bouche appetizer. I'm not a seafood buff, but the rest of my party raved about it. It was like a pate on a crusty bread. Everyone agreed that the "Tuna of the Chianti" was the best dish. This was actually a Tuscan style pork and white beans. Although an appetizer, it was plenty for lunch! Two of us had one of each of the two pizzas on the menu - both very flavorful with a delicious crust. Finally, the homemade pork sandwich - to die for! I strongly recommend a visit to this fine restaurant and I wish to thank the chef for one of the most memorable meals I have ever had!
