An enjoyable meander through the Redwoods, but if you are going to stand out in the viewing deck don't wear white or anything else you wouldn't want speckled in diesel exhaust - and check your face before you leave it might be covered like mine was! The souvenir shop and restrooms were excellent.

“Perfect in all ways”

This trip is so much fun! Wonderful to be part of so many people enjoying themselves.
All employees were like a family and so friendly! They went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. You can tell they love their work! The train singer is a great performer and so very joyful! Will be taking this trip a lot more!

“relaxing but not exceptional”
Reviewed 13 May 2014 via mobile

It's a very sedate and pretty picturesque journey but fairly "samey". Perhaps I've been spoiled by other train journeys such as the wonderful Durango–Silverton line but this didn't have much of a wow factor. Good way to unwind and relax during a holiday but wouldn't build a holiday around it.

“Fun way to see Redwoods”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

We had read previous trip advisor reviews...almost did not take this trip. Sure glad we did...we had a great time, enjoyed the open car...the singer that entertained us along our journey thru beautiful redwoods. The food at end of line was very good...not your average hot dog/hamburger. I had tri tip sandwich and local beer. Highly recommend this for those that want to enjoy the woods, without the drive.

“Great time for family and especially the kids!”
Reviewed 22 April 2014

Wonderful train ride. So much fun. The train singer is so talented. It is so enjoyable to ride along and sing to harmonica and guitar music. The ride is lengthy and I think is better to go on a nice warm day. You stop for lunch along the way...it is outdoors. So keep that in mind. They do a great job entertaining, feeding and making your ride great. Kids, adults, couples....it is a lot of fun. Nice views of huge trees and ferns. Take some snacks and water along with you ...you will have plenty of time to munch while watching the views inside or outside style train cars. Take your camera...you will get great views. Thank you.
