The entrance to the beach in next to an industrial area. The beach is beautiful, though it once was the city dump.

Closed Aug 18, 2014 until Nov 2014 for improvements. The beach was fun for the kid but not amazing. If everyone picks up glass to take home is it not surprising to learn beer bottle glass is your most exciting find.

Nice beach near Route 1 - the coastal highway. I suggest you read wikipedia on how the glass got there. It can be quite foggy in August - use sunscreen though.

Dirty and they most unattractive beach I have ever seen. No real glass to speak of ether. Walk down a road by porta potties and construction to this ugly so called glass filled beach. Not for me.

If you love rocks made of glass then you have to go see this. Just remember it is a state park and my understanding is that you can't take things from the reserve. Somehow some way a few pieces ended up in my pocket. Anyhow, too many go straight on the path down to the shore which has tiny teeny minimal pieces of rock glass. If you want to see the real stuff you have to go down the path but then go to your left along the fence line. Follow the fence line to the beach cliffs. The cliffs are easy if you feel comfortable climbing down about 18-20 feet and getting a little dirty. Wear good solid shoes and I wouldn't recommend flip flops or loose sandals on the cliff side for obvious reasons. The whole, and I mean the whole beach, is covered with dime size to larger beach rock glass. It is a wonderful thing to see. Everywhere you look is beach glass. Awesome. I loved it.
