“Good food and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2014

Everything was great. The service was great. Great salsa. Try the chile relleno, best I've ever had. The margarita was delicious and very strong! Might help to expand and add another bathroom but that's not why we went there, so no big deal.

“great place to eat”

good food, killer margaritas. Service is very good, and a lot of locals go there, so I recommend it.

“Plenty of Food and Great Prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

We were camping at the State Park and decided to treat ourselves to a dinner out. Every time we drove by the parking lot was full so we decided to give it a try. Although it was crowded the service was very good and our dinners came out very quickly. All of us were very satisfied and although it wasn't spicy there was plenty of salsa that you could add for additional heat. We went away with full bellies and very satisfied. Will go as often as we can when we get over to the coast!

“Margaritas are good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 May 2014

Food is okay, a little bland but typical of a California Mexican place catering to white people. $9 for the three Taco plate is nice plus $2 for a side of beans. This is the best Mexican place in Fort Bragg.

They have a talented bartender who knows how to make good margaritas, even the well margarita is very good.

“One of our favorites”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2014

We have been coming here for years whenever we are in the area. The food is more American-Mexican style the real Mexican, so don't expect authentic Mexican food. But it is excellent and plentiful.

The restaurant includes a small bar and as much Mexican cliche as you can expect in one place. Hats, chintzy Mexican artwork, calendars and other items of interest line the walls. The menu is limited and I don't think it has changed in thirty years. Most of the staff has been around as long as I can remember. Most always they are very friendly.

We were seated promptly, but ended up changing our location because the table we first received was long and we were seated to far apart to hear each other. So we moved to a smaller table. Our waitress came over and took our drink orders, a beer from the local brewery (very good) for me and a blended margarita for my wife. She ended up sending her margarita back because it did not include enough ice and was watery for a blended margarita. The second one came back great.

I ordered the machaca (shredded beef) chimichanga, and my wife ordered the machaca tacos. We received chips and salsa along with water and our drinks. The chips are standard tortilla chips, made on the premises as are the salsas. The salsas come red and green, neither of which are very hot, but are flavorful.

The food was very warm and the plates were hot to the touch. The food was excellent, but just not authentically Mexican. Don't expect that and you won't be disappointed.

Hours are 5-9pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.
