“Sleeps 8 comfortably. Location is great but house is in disrepair and all bedding badly stained and dirty.”

The location is stunning but the place needs TLC and a deep, thorough cleaning. The house sleeps 8 comfortably not 14. It has 4 bedrooms. No one could sleep on the pullout sofa. The mattress is very thin (4 inches), offers no support and is falling apart. We had to buy an air mattress for one couple. The den with "sleeping sofa" does not have a door. We were shocked by the condition of the bedding: old, ratty blankets with stains, new blankets with multiple stains, mattress covers completely stained and gross, bed pillows were stained, all four duvet covers were stained (some with large stains), some queen pillows had standard cases, bed skirts ripped and too small in some cases. The towels are old, worn out and some stained. The "twin beds" are two roll-out cots with thin mattress stashed in a closet. Again too thin to be comfortable. The dining-room and bar chair covers were very stained. The table cloth even though covered by a big piece of plastic was stained as were the place mats. Even the covering on the club chair had stains on it. Really??!! I have never seen anything like this! Though the house is long overdue for some upgrades, it would be nice if more attention to detail was given. A laundry vent close to front door and cement landing was covered in lint. Lights by front doors are very dirty and covered in cobwebs. Lots of bird droppings by upstairs front door. White upstairs front door needs a good cleaning as do white walls around light switches. The skylight in the master bath needs to be cleaned (at least once)The floors, baths, sinks, refrigerator were clean but stove top had baked-on grease. I could go on. It's a weathered place with broken deck chairs, only three chairs for outside table, windows that don't open or do have not screens, funky pans etc but it would be OK if the bedding were clean and fresh, bed skirts fit the beds, cases fit the pillows, chair covers were clean, table linens were clean, grime on walls and doors was removed, front-door areas swept and front lights cleaned. Please don't advertise that this sleeps 14. It has four beds, two queens and two kings in four bedrooms. The pullouts and folding cots are useless. The owners should fix windows and broken deck chair, add more chairs to the table on the deck, get a new Weber or clean the heck out of that one, think about upgrading the linens. At the very least get rid of the stained linens!!! We paid a lot to have a family celebration here. The company and view made it great. The house was not great for lack of care. I could not recommend it in its current state of disrepair.

“Sanborn House”

Sanborn house was a nice rental, it has beautiful view over the dunes of the ocean, a well stocked kitchen and plenty of seating for family and friends. We stayed for 2 nights and the rental process was very easy. I do not think I will be back for a few reasons, first and foremost is not being able to use the laundry if you are there less than a week, you are at the ocean and clothes do get wet! Send is the jetted tub did not work in the master bath and third we had an issue with ants in the downstairs bathroom.
