Liquid Fusion is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. They offer kayak trips for every experience and adventure level. The calmer trips launch from their boathouse on the Noyo River in the Dolphin Isle Marina and RV Park. The more intense trips launch from the beach and the tour is in the ocean. I took their sunset wildlife paddle that stayed in the very calm Noyo River. We saw many creatures including harbor seals and sea lions, as well as, many birds. I had never seen an osprey and we saw a couple and their huge nest. We saw great blue herons, king fishers, and many gulls. We saw a night heron, which true to its name, only comes out at night. Cate, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and paced the trip to maximize wildlife spotting. She also was great at answering questions about the boats and history of the Fort Bragg fishing culture. Fort Bragg is a working fishery so boats the size of the boats you see on Deadliest Catch can be found moored here and we kayaked next to them. You don’t realize how large these ships are until you are at their water line in a kayak. The sunset trip on the Noyo River would be appropriate for younger water acclimated children and certainly for teens. You are guaranteed to have a great time if you take one of Liquid Fusions trips.
