Positive: Very clean, excellent electronics (TV and wifi).
Negative: Vertical curtains missing slats (we patched 4 with tape). "Sleeps 8" is misleading: there are only 2 beds (which could sleep 4; more than 4 would have to sleep on floor). Would be nice to have a couple of suitcase racks. Chair in LR rocks. Can opener won't open bottle caps. Lighting is odd: 6 lamps in BRs, 1 in LR, and none in DR. There are 4 "bar" chairs and 4 DR chairs, but they're not comfortable for short people.
Wow! Great little house with a great location. We could not have been more comfortable. Minutes from beach and town. I'm ready to go back! My one and only complaint was that there is not a washing machine available, but this was my oversight and really wasn't a deal breaker.
The location is perfect, centrally located within Ft Bragg. Located next to Mackerricher Park. Beach is less than 3 minute drive or you can walk. Home had everything you could need, just bring cloths and food. I enjoyed my mornings having coffee on the front porch. Will be back.
We enjoyed our time at the cottage.
There was good communication from the owner.
Everything was as expected.
The former reviews led me to think we would be getting our moneys worth, even though the rate suddenly changed from $150 to $180 per night. Also a $100 cleaning fee would imply a very clean house. The house was clean, but the beds had a very used smell. I suspect the comforters had not been washed in a long while. The couch was small and heavily stained. No need to sit on it though as there were no movies, no DVDs, no usable stereo and very few readable books. We brought food to cook, but the kitchen was without upper cupboards. This made finding things very had unless you enjoying crawling around on your hands and knees. Down below, we found pots and pans, plates etc. Do bring your own knives though. There were no spices, cooking oil, except some long gone rancid. A garage sale selection of flatware and miscellaneous odd things could be fond in the drawers. To this day I am haunted by the extreme tackiness of the decor, a combo of weak motel Pueblo prints with a nod towards nautical/seashore, with unattractive shells, and a couple of little lighthouses. These all dwarfed by huge hideous fake flower arrangements. There is not a water view, unless you climb the sand dune behind the place and walk for a while. This is the one plus. You can walk all the way to the beach through the dunes We were so depressed by the place we left one night early.

Sandy Glove was fantastic, the pictures don't show how great it really was . The backyard was a sheltered stretch of grassy space with room to engage with outdoor activitys . Well resourced kitchen, perfect for cooking on holiday. Great proximity to the forest and the beach. Had a great family holiday for a week there in July . I have no hesitation recommending this rental . Thanks Bob.
