Do not be fooled by the outward appearance. The rooms are very nice (for this price point) and have recently been remodeled. Minutes to the beach and Pudding Creek bridge, very hospitable hosts, rooms are very nice and tidy. Son loved the waffle maker! My only gripe was that the mattress in our room needed an upgrade! By the third night even my wife was complaining! We would definitely stay here again, great family spot.

Very nice place to stay. Had a view of the ocean! Enjoyed having a "private" patio to sit and watch the sunset. However not many places to eat and not much to see in Fort Bragg other than the Pacific Ocean.

We flew to Seattle and drove the entire West Coast. My first choice is always Best Western for overall amenities, full breakfast, and location to all the things you want to do along the way. Staff is usually superb and knowledgeable of the area and helpful with additional transportation needs, printing boarding passes, or providing regular coffee instead of decaf in the rooms. GREAT place to stay.

Ocean view - sea and beach on your doorstep. Clean, tidy, and simple. Continental breakfast is bigger than expected but you might want to change it up after several days. Plenty of parking. Rooms beside road but not busy and ocean is loud and clear - much more soothing! Good walking along coastline.

We had a nice stay at this hotel and loved the location. It's at the north end of Fort Bragg, with a beautiful view of the beach and an inlet. There is a trail that goes under the highway, providing safe and easy access to get over to the beach and sand. The room was very clean and comfortable. Would have been nice to have a microwave (reheat leftovers), but not a big issue. The road noise was there, but we had a small suite, so thankfully the bedroom part was towards the back and you didn't really hear the noise. The small suites had a fireplace, which was a nice, relaxing way to end the day (the hotel provides 1 DuraFlame log per evening). Breakfast wasn't real substantial and got very crowded... I'm gluten free, and no "hot" selections, so other than a banana/fruit, I couldn't eat, but it gave my husband options for a quick breakfast to fill his hungry tummy void before we did "brunch" down at Eggheads. (HIGHLY recommend that place!) Staff was very nice and no issues. Would definitely stay again... loved being so close to a pretty quiet beach area... OH... and once you get across the highway, the trail that goes across the bridge you see from the hotel extends for MILES up the coast (north) into the state park and beyond. We brought our bikes and had a gorgeous bike ride up that coastal trail.

We had an ocean view from our room that was very nice. I enjoyed being able to open my sliding glass door and sit outside in the cool coastal breeze. My kids were very excited to swim in the indoor pool but it was pretty cold for a heated pool. The staff was nice and the room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. There are two sections of the hotel and we were at the upper level so it was far from the pool and breakfast. If I stayed here again I would request a room closer to the pool. Overall it was a decent place to stay.

Room Tip: Request an ocean view and a room close to the pool.

The Hotel is perched on a cliff over an inlet with the ocean beyond that. The Hotel itself was very clean and neat. The rooms were very good and comfortable - and quiet. The pool opening times need to be reviewed to provide more availability.
Breakfast was acceptable - nothing grand but sufficient.
The Town was only a short distance away with many eating and drinking sites to choose from.

Room Tip: Ground floor gives you access to the garden and you can sit out and enjoy the sunsets.
