“Very comfortable beds, free parking and friendly staff”
Reviewed 24 October 2010

Great hotel if your looking to stay near SFO and are looking for free parking. Check in staff was very friendly, and there was plenty of free parking. Great rooms and really comfortable beds.

Clean and decent - nice employees; but given the location of the hotel - there are no good choices for a room that isn't facing the freeway (Hwy 92) or a busy restaurant.

As mentioned in other reviews - the curtains DON't close. They have heavy shades and two laters of filmy curtains - along with a "CLIP" to join it all together. Also, the pool is just off the lobby and in view of the restaurant- all glass - not appealing.

Parking is free - when you can find it.

The room would not cool down and though I was told maintenance would be called, I am still waiting hours later. Granted, the request was made through housekeeping so maybe she meant they'd come tomorrow?

The bathroom is clean and other than the hair in my welome bag (sleep mask and ear plugs) it's been ok; but this wouldn't be my first choice to stay here again.

This hotel was a pleasent surprise. We got a great deal below one hundred and thirty bucks. We toured San Fran, and then took the 25 minute easy drive to this hotel. The rooms were very clean and updated with granite counter tops, very nice linens, great AC/heat (not loud, but efficient). There is a nice indoor court yard with giant palm trees, and a giant waterfalls. Most of the staff had smiles on their faces and treated us like they actually liked us (well, the registration front desk person was ok, but not as perky friendly as the rest o the staff)... My wife liked this hotel, and if the wife is happy everyone is happy. The room had a nice flat panel. The foold was priced decently and of good quality -the salmon dish tasted fresh, and my wifes rib platter was good, and cost only ten bucks!.

For the first time I had a room in the main building and it there didn’t seem to be much difference between the rooms in either building. I thought the bed was hard as a rock and the linens weren’t as soft this time. There is a convenience factor in being in the main building though if you are planning on having breakfast there. We had a room with two double beds, which meant very little space between the desk chair and the bed. You could just sit down on the chair, and not really turn it from side to side at all. It was pretty annoying. The room was very clean and the décor is nice. There was some street noise that we heard in our 5th floor room. We were there for business meetings, and didn’t have a choice in hotels. There is a shopping center walking distance from the hotel with a target and restaurants such as BJ’s and Red Robin which is a big plus for me. The coffee pot is in the bathroom. I would not stay there if I was in San Francisco for a vacation, but for business it’s more than acceptable.

I checked in the Crowne plaza on Sunday noon. I was checked in about 2-3 mins right away. There was some construction work going in the hotel.
I requested room to be assigned away from the freeway. Room was assigned facing Chess Dr. It was little noisy. Room was functional and had ammenties which was good. They provided a sleep kit - which was good.

Lobby had a nice pool with fish. Was relaxing to see when you are in elevator area

Beds were comfortable. Nice pillows. Bathroom were clean and nice

Internet was slow.

I ate in the cafe for breakfast. Buffet was good

Its good if you;re business takes you to Foster City. If you;re working more at SFo, check for other options.

The hotel was extremely functional. The rooms were clean, the food was okay. The gym was basic etc.

Its right between to high traffic roads, and though they have done much to sound proof the hotel, those with a light sleep, may find themselves disturbed.

I did happen to leave my handphone at the breakfast table. It was promptly stashed away at the reception for me to collect later.

All in all, a functional choice - to be purely determined by the location of your business.

My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Foster City during a recent business trip. I was impressed, but do understand some of the negative feedback regarding sound.

The hotel is in a nice area of town, not too far South of downtown San Francisco. There were plenty of restaurants and shops only a few blocks away. It was relatively easy to find, as the directions from their website were straightforward.

The lobby is beautiful, and I was relieved to get out of the car after a long drive from Oregon. The hotel clerk was not very welcoming, and gave us no information about the hotel. Luckily, I was able to find a more helpful staff person in the evening who directed us to the restaurant, provided pool information, and gave us our breakfast buffet vouchers as promised with our rate.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, and included a coffee maker, hair dryer and usual toiletries. The welcome kit was a nice surprise, and included linen spray, an eye mask and ear plugs. The noise from the lounge several floors below could be heard late into the night, and although it did not bother me, I thought the ear plugs were a nice touch. A business associate of ours had read about this before arriving, and was given a room in the executive building where it was much quieter. If you plan to stay and are worried about the noise, simply ask for a room in the other tower.

We did spend some time in the Clubhouse Bistro. The food was very good and the hip decor was unexpected for a hotel restaurant and lounge. There were several large panel screens used for sports early in the evening. Later, the place heats up as a locals favorite dance club.

The large flat screen, complimentary wi-fi and super comfy beds made for a very nice respite. I would book this hotel again.
