We visit this little gem of a bakery whenever we are on the Sonoma coast. This place is definitely a highlight and they know how to bake! The breads are delicious and they are really interesting...artisan style with fresh herbs and spices. They do have sour dough baguettes if you are not interested in trying some of their other breads.

The scones are delicious. We love the strawberry and dark chocolate scones and the Meyer lemon and fresh peach scones. Wow! They are so fresh and delicious. This place is most famous for the sticky bun that probably weighs at least 1lb and can feed at least 4 people. It's delicious and you should definitely try it.

The cappuccinos were good. Their is a beautiful garden on the property with fresh herbs and vegetables and fruits that are used for the ingredients. There are tables inside and outside for you to sit and enjoy your food. Definitely walk through the lovely garden.

One important point: BRING CASH. NO CREDIT CARDS ARE ACCEPTED.
I think they will take a personal check but it has to be from a California bank.

Thank Grace G

You will find Wild Flour Bakery much to your liking if you enjoy the pleasures of REALLY good breads and bakery treats. The price is comparatively high, but well worth the cost of this luxurious gastronomical mouth experience. They will let you taste...and, that may be just enough to either meet your bakery fix for the moment or to push you over the top to buy more than you can eat over the next day! Warning…they bake without preservatives so eat these lovely breads and treats quickly for the best enjoyment. The Sticky Bun (it must weigh 16 ounces!..it can feed 4!) is to die for…but, again, eat it quickly as it will be quite hard within 24 hours. Love those Sticky Buns…but, heck, it is ALL wonderful!!

Wild Flour Bakery is the best bakery in the north bay, possibly all of Cali, no make that in the US. We stopped on our way to a winery (next door--go!). We went to buy a loaf of bread, but we ended up with pastries hot out of the oven (imagine a flaky scone with marzipan, ginger and pears...yum!) and 2 loaves of bread. It's a bit of a trek, but it's soooo worth it. The hours are limited and they do run out, so plan ahead.

This bakery is located in tiny Freestone. When arriving, you are greeted by the official bakery dog greeter and a long line of customers who have heard how delicious the baked goods are at this charming spot. The ginger/almond biscotti was out of this world. You can't go wrong with the signature "sticky bun" (ask them to cut it up for you), or any of the fabulous breads or scones. The proprietors are friendly and keep the line moving. You won't be disappointed.
