It's rare to get to step inside the house of a king, but, Kearney Mansion is the house built by the Raisin King, and, it reflects the early 1900 ethic, style and charm. Not a castle, but, not a bungalow, the house tells the story of an immigrant's dream for success, and how that dream was realized in the farming of grapes and other crops. As an early land developer and entrepreneur, M. Theo Kearney is one California character that everyone whould get to know through a tour of the Kearney Mansion. The grounds are beautiful, and the swooping hawks, owls and other raptors at dusk are breathtaking. The grounds are a delightful spot for a picnic or family gathering. If you live in the Central Valley, why haven't you been here? If you live in California, this place is a must-see!

I was in Fresno on a Thursday and was hoping to see this museum. That said it is only open Fri Sat and Sun and the person answering the phone told me in a not so friendly manner. I said how about coming to see the grounds and she told me it was long way to come and didn't encourage me to come visit. I was disappointed…..

We are so sorry if we sounded unfriendly. This was certainly not intentional. We would welcome your visit to the park and the Kearney Mansion in the future.

Interesting, but wish that they would have more events here in order to develop a greater appreciation of historical sites within the community.

This old house is a must to see. Located in Kerney Park. The history there is something. The house is furnished with stuff from that era.
