“Far out, man”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

If you want to step back to the late 60's or early 70's, you would dig a stop in this town. The vibe in this restaurant is groovy as well and the grub is cool, man. We hung out there on a Saturday, they were only serving breakfast that day, but that was all right. Lots of healthy options-my husband and I split the veggie omelet which had a nice variety of fresh veggies and my hubby had a pancake which was scrumptious.

“A nice surprise!”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

My husband and I traveled The Avenue of the Giants in Mendocino County, California from the north to southbound 101. At the south end is Graberville, CA. Unlike the little commercial areas on the Avenue of the Giants, Graberville, though a small town, comparatively is a thriving metropolis! When we finally found a place to park, we had a chance to consult Trip Advisor. My husband mentioned The Woodrose Cafe is right across the street...and voila! the website came up and The Woodrose Cafe is rated #4 in Trip Advisor.

The Woodrose Cafe is small with booths, tables and seats at the counter. It is open from 8 am to 2 pm for breakfast and lunch. It is a cozy, friendly place mixing travelers and locals.

The Woodrose Cafe has the best fresh brewed iced tea!

We shared the cafe salad and a fabulous chicken and avocado quesadilla. Both were very fresh and excellent! The salad dressings we chose tasted homemade...blue cheese and ranch...very good!! The ingredients in the quesadilla are fresh and delicious!!!

Once again, Trip Advisor reviewers come through again and we had a yummy lunch!!

“Good place for breakfast”

Nice eggs for breakfast, everything is organic. Although it's a bit more expensive than elsewhere, it's worth the money.

“Excellent Food”

Excellent breakfast! I wanted to come back for lunch! If you are driving through, you should stop here. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, Whatever they charge, it is worth it.

“I'd eat here every day if I could”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

I love the Woodrose and have eaten here a few times. It's your basic cafe/diner food with a Moosewood Cookbook sort of hippie-twist, and it works. Well. Great salads. Great breakfast scrambles, including a tofu scramble to die for. The atmosphere is chill although it can be intense if it's packed. Otherwise, this is a great restaurant which transports you to the 1960's without even trying or being all that self-conscious about it. Highly recommended! And so much is organic.
