We went for Cecil's but that was a little too expensive for our travel budget. So we went across the street to Calico's. What a suprise! I had a delicious tortellini with chicken, artichoke and fresh tomato sauce. My boyfriend had the tuna griller and we shared a combo of three different salads. All fresh, home made and very tasty. Totally different compared to all the bland food you find elsewhere.
You order at the first counter and pay for your food and get your drinks (nice wine!) at the second. When your order is ready, they call your name. The staff is lovely, no dirty tables, a different experience than other people here. Probably because we are from Amsterdam, we like and are used to a laid back and cozy athmosphere like this. And with real, fresh food.
