Description: Catelli's is a landmark, third generation restaurant located in the heart of Sonoma County between the breathtaking hills of Dry Creek and Alexander Valley Catelli's was originally opened in Geyserville around 1936 by Italian immigrants Santi and Virginia Catelli. The restaurant was originally known as Catelli's "The Rex" (the "king" as translated from Latin). Third generation Catellis and siblings, Domenica and Nicholas Catelli, are now co-owners. Located in Geyserville in Sonoma County, the menu highlights ingredients from local and organic farmers as well as over 100 local wines. Led by executive chef, author, and media personality, Domenica Catelli, original items such as handmade ravioli are paired with new bright creations such as "The Pasta of the Moment." Catelli's has a rich history with the local community, where generations of families have eaten, celebrated, and created memories throughout their lives.

We had some wonderful Italian food. I recommend the ravioli - meat with garlic butter sauce & cheese with meat sauce. Service was very good. But unusually impressive was the atmosphere/view/layout of the back patio - quite a surprise after coming thru the front door & going around the inside.

The wine industry folk hang out here, and it makes for a very fun and festive atmosphere. Food and booze are all wonderful, and the staff always goes above and beyond.

We were staying in Healdsburg and made a reservation at Catelli's. It was the best meal of our trip.

First, we were greeted so warmly by the host an co-owner. Next, we were led out to the surprising patio. It is huge, and beautiful. It was such a treat to dine outside during the summer.

We started with the Burrata, which was delicious. We then moved onto the kale salad, which is one of the best salads I've ever had. I almost licked the plate. The combination of bitter kale, crunchy bread, and sweet orange was fantastic.

We labored over our entree decision, and finally chose the lasagna with meat sauce. We love really good lasagna, so we couldn't resist a home made, family recipe. It was better than we even hoped. THe layers were thin and light, and the meat sauce topped it perfectly.

Then we moved to dessert. We chose the fruit crisp. The crisp was served piping hot, but was edible because of the delicious ice cream.

We hope to make it back to wine country soon, but will definitely tell everyone we know about Catelli's.

Learned about this place from FoodNetwork, Triple D, planned to stop by on next visit home to the Bay Area. Stopped in for lunch mid-week with a friend. Beautiful drive from Marin, very scenic, orchards dotted the landscape. The town, Geyserville is all of 2-3 blocks long. Quaint shops, hardware store, other restaurants scattered here and there. Catelli's is in a very unassuming building. But once you enter the doors, you know you are in a place that takes the entire dining experience seriously. The decor reminds me of a mix of Tuscan with a bit of California flair. Very open, inviting and comfortable. Now, let's talk about the food....

I started with a cocktail to give me time to peruse the menu. The Lavender Drop was captivating and refreshing. Organic vodka, with a lavender simple syrup and lemon. Next, I ordered the Catelli's Ravioli, with Garlic Bread. The Garlic Bread was fresh baked goodness with the perfect balance of butter and garlic. The delicate pasta pillows were enclosed a well seasoned 3-meat unbelievably delectable filling. My guess part beef, pork and veal. Don't know the spices, don't care --- it was AWESOME!!! The butter garlic sauce was delicate yet full flavored. To go along with my meal I had the Rose of Pinot Noir, Buncher Vineyard, Russian River. The wine was the perfect complement to the pasta. Perfection. Period.

My friend ordered Domenica's sauce, organic tomato, garlic, EVOO with a touch of spice, over pasta. We shared the Garlic Bread. She was very happy. We both left with utter satisfaction and a vow to return to this gem of a place.

Service was spot-on. Restroom was impeccably clean. Parking on street. If it gets busy, could be just a short walk. Outdoor dining looked heavenly, but it was a warm day and we chose to sit inside.

This is a place not to be missed in Sonoma County!!! You just gotta go!!

Walk out to the patio and it's an Alice in Wonderland experience. (You'll see). The food and service add to the delight.
Appetizers: sliders with the marinara sauce are a don't miss. Buratta (which is on nearly every menus out here these days) was quite good.
Salads: the Caesar was very good. Entres: Lasagna pasta was paper thin and handmade with Richard's sauce and garlic bread that was to die for.
Hangar steak off the seasonal menu was very good but "medium rare" was rare.
