Owner description: Arrowood is 100% Sonoma. Since 1986, we have been producing high-character wines from sustainably and organically farmed vineyards west of the Mayacamas Ridge. Our winery is located in the historic Sonoma Valley, a small sub-appellation in the heart of the county. Often described as a warm pocket in a cool region, this rolling AVA is particularly well suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, our signature wine. We also produce limited quantities of other noble varieties from some of Sonoma's acclaimed vineyards.

Arrowood is producing exceptional wines in Sonoma County since being founded in 1986. We visited the winery and enjoyed the cheese pairing; while the 2012 Saralee's Viognier and the 2005 Reserve Speciale Cab Sauv were wonderful it was the 2011 Syrah which stole the show. I opted to purchase the 2007 Sonoma Malbec as it is not available in Colorado; sorry but I got the last of it! The grounds are beautiful with blooming flowers and surrounded by vineyards, it is a very special place.

My wife and our two boys (3&5) visited Arrowood. The boys enjoyed sitting by the fire playing with the toys they had while we sampled the wine. Mike was great and made us feel right at home. The wine was good too. I certainly recommend a visit by all if you want to escape the yuppy pretentious wineries of Napa and feel welcomed and like a true guest.

Visited this winery years ago. Family members were very gracious. Bought a mixed case of wines. Still enjoy their product and am pleased when I see it available in local wine stores.

This is our third trip to Arrowood. We arrived 10 minutes before closing and asked for a quick tasting since our schedule messed us up. When the hostess found out we were celebrating our anniversary, they told us to go out on the beautiful deck gave us all the tastings we wanted. They said to take your time, we'll just be in here cleaning up. They continued to come out and visit with us not caring about their closing time. I know after a long day of pouring and talking, they wanted nothing more than to go home. Not these people. They are as exceptional as their wines. TOP OF OUR LIST FOR EVERYTHING WINE COUNTRY IS KNOWN FOR.
Now if only EVERY winery would start doing the same thing, especially the big ones like Mondavi and Sebastiani who's staff looked more at their watch than their clients eyes.

Solid wine, nice view of vineyard and mountains in the distance. Staff were knowledgable and friendly. It was toward the end of the first day of Memorial weekend, so they had to be exhausted. The wines just did not speak to me; husband picked up a bottle of Cab he liked. It would be nice to pay extra to taste the wines only available to club members.
