Everyone says to go to Sonoma instead of Napa if you're looking for a more intimate setting, and Little Vineyards definitely met the Sonoma standard. It's got a quiet setting and you can choose whether you want to do your tasting inside or outside. I highly recommend outsite, as it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We also had the best server ever, Anthony. He not only served our wine, but he would talk and joke with us, making sure that we had a great time...and we definitely did!

We stopped by Little Vineyards on our last day in Sonoma, as it was on the way out of town and I had read about it online as a recommended place to go to get an small personal experience. I couldn't have imagined something better... We drove along a small dirt road through some vineyards and thought we had made several wrong turns, but if you pay attention to the signs, you'll get there. The last corner brought us the sight of the main building with the "Sanford & Sons" tractor out front. The building and outside seating were awesome. Set up very simply, but perfectly. You walk into the tasting room, just a large open room, and a friendly woman was there to greet us. We tasted some great wine and bought a bottle to drink outside at one of the tables with some of our food that we brought with us. There are no frills here, but just a quaintness that we absolutely fell in love with.

We set up the food outside at one of the tables and sunk into the beautiful views of the vineyard and the surrounding silence. Unfortunately there were a few bees out and about that also liked the food, and my wife got a little freaked out, so we went inside at the indoor table. There was another small group there tasting, and it happened to be the musician who had just performed at the Little Vineyard the night before. Yup, you got it, they had a small concert there on property. I guess it was the 3rd time they had done it and it is becoming increasingly popular. Too bad we missed it b/c it sounded awesome!!!!

We spent 4 days in Sonoma County and visited a large number of vineyards of all different sizes. BY FAR, Little Vineyards was in the top 2 of our experiences.

Anyway, if you want a personal charming beautiful winery to visit while in Sonoma... GO TO LITTLE VINEYARDS. The wine is fantastic, but it's so much more than that. We would have spent all afternoon there... cannot wait to get back for another visit.

The tasting room we were in was small and, because the day was cold and rainy, we were the only visitors at the time. The woman, Karen (I think) was such a natural, warm person I almost forgot that it was pretty freaking cold in there.
We really liked the wines too, but would come back just for the setting - and the big, friendly English Retriever!

Had lot's of fun here, and really enjoyed the wines. Wouldn't have found it if the restaurant didn't reccommend it!

Great little family run vineyard. Love hearing the back stories and history of the wines. Friendly dogs too! And of course, good wine!
