“Yosemite National Park visit”
Reviewed 8 April 2013

Yosemite Ridge is a great place to stay if you want to visit Yosemite National Park. The manager Bob was instrumental in making our stay as pleasant and worry free as possible. He was courteous, friendly and very quick to identify that we had reserved too small a cabin for our needs, thereby making the necessary changes. The price for the upgrade was quite reasonable as we found the cabin we stayed in very comfortable, clean and with all the amenities to make it like home. Great experience!!

The owner and staff of this campground are dedicated to giving the best possible service to their guests. When we lost the second axle on our fifth wheel in Las Vegas and had to cancel our reservations, we were not charged a cancellation fee. A week later, when we were once again headed to Yosemite Ridge, the staff had to shuffle site assignments so we would not have to move about the campground over our week's stay. We were given what we think is the campground's best site at the top of the hill. One of the staff came up and helped us with installing our cable tv hookup. We were given directions about a safer route to get back down to Merced. This is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at in over forty years of camping.

We stayed in Yosemite ridge last June. It was the best camping experience a family with 2 toddlers could have. We were met by a friendly manager upon a very late arrival, who escorted us to our Garden cottage, despite of 12 am. A thoughtful guy had already have an AC running, so by the time we arrived the cabin was nice and cool.
Cabin was clean and roomy, with fresh and thick towels and some toiletries in the bathroom. Bed was comfy and there were extra linens and blankets in the cabinet. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything you need. Stove with oven, microwave, coffeemaker, full size perfectly working fridge utensils, pots and pans plates and glasses. Bedroom and living room were equipped with high ceiling fans and ACs. Each cabin has its own BBQ grill and a picnic table and also a parking spot. We enjoyed all our meals and evening cocktails outside.
The outside bathrooms and showers were a nice addition as well as the laundry room, just bring your own detergent. The convenience store had everything in case of emergency. The gas station was a big plus and very affordable
I read some reviews and gotta tell you never had any problem with water, did not see any ants and frogs either. We have been warn that we might come upon rattle snakes if we will be hiking up the hills and to be safe we stayed on the path. Did not see any snakes either. AND PEOPLE, LETS FACE IT, we are in wilderness, not in the city.
It is perfectly located close to everything: Yosemite park, Camp Mather, Camp San Jose, Camp Berkeley, Hedge Hedgy. Ad very affordable too, comparing with mentioned camps, where the food is terrible and the nearest bathroom might be 100s feet away from our cabin.
The rainbow pools was cool. We enjoyed it a lot. You will not miss any hotel pool after that.
There is a grocery store about 10 miles away. But I would suggest to bring all the dry food with you and by the produce and perishable things from the sore, since it kind of on higher side. Bring plenty of paper plates and cups to not waste your vacation doing dishes. Grab some paper towels. And have fun.
There are some issues that I would like to mention, but all of them are flexible and minor. The bunk beds did not have any rails and we could not put our kids to sleep there. We just gave them the bedroom bed. And it would've be great to have some kind of playground or something like that. Cause the kids did not know what to do beside running around. We did not have Wifi either, that would've be a great addition.
The staff was the friendliest we ever met in travelings. Some great hotels need to come there for training.
For the conclusion I am going to say: it was a great place for a vacation. We enjoyed the stay and our neighbors. This is a great place for families, my children did not miss tv or any computer games all the time we stayed. And we will be back in here again.

My husband and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience at the Yosemite Ridge Resort this week. We stayed at cabin T2 and found it very comfortable and cozy; it included all the amenities that we needed. The owner, Joe, was helpful when we made the reservation and his right-hand man/manager, Bob, was there to greet us and show us around the grounds. The personal service was second to none! Although we weren't in the park, it was a beautiful 40 minute drive to Yosemite Valley. We were especially grateful to receive the off-season price! We will be returning again!

We couldn't of asked for a bunch of kinder and helpful people!! We stayed in our 5th wheel on #12 with 3 teenage kids and 2 dogs for 4 nights. It was level and had a lot of shade. I can not say anything bad about this Resort. The kids loved playing tether ball and then swimming at the swimming hole (can't say I minded either!) We had a flat tire and had destroyed the rim (long story there!) on our trailer and the staff were more than helpful to attempt to hook us up with both. Great location to the Park if you are satying outside of it and want somewhere to swim. It is 12 minutes from the gate and maybe 10 minutes from the local grocery store, which is reasonably priced. The laundry and shower facilities were clean and in great condition. Showers are free and have good water pressure. There was cable hook up, not that we used it...but it worked! We saw another couple have some trouble wit their cable, but the guy came right over and helped them out and fixed it immediatly.

Stayed here for two nights in a rented RV,with our 6 kids. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful, the pitches were clean and well looked after.Stayed in mid September last year, the weather was great, and on the recommendation of the staff , spent a whole day at Rainbow falls swimming and jumping off the rocks (plenty of room to park the RV in the car park) Were so glad we had decided to stay here rather than in Yosemite itself,as the valley campgrounds were really overcrowded and the sheer amount of traffic and people was overwhelming even that late in the season.

Stayed for two nights in a cabin while visiting Yosemite, staff were great and took time out to have a chat, great restaurant next door (walking distance but take a torch at night), little general store and petrol pumps on site, would defiantly consider staying again.

Was cold in October got down to 6 degrees Celsius, so pack warm clothes if going in winter.
