“A Wonderful Place To Rent A Cozy Cabin”
Reviewed 5 August 2013 via mobile

We rented a cozy cabin for a few days and loved it. The place is five minutes outside of Groveland and about a half an hour away from the North gate of Yosemite. The facility had a small general store, a deli, swimming pool, petting zoo, Friday & Saturday Night hayrides and it is dog friendly. The staff is very friendly and all of the guests were kind & respectful. This is a great place to camp/RV. My only suggestion is for the place to plant more trees, for more privacy & to help with the summer dust.

We stayed for only one night, but we're already planning our return for a longer stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is quaint and what you'd expect for a mountain lodging. We stayed at a deluxe cabin which had just enough room for our family of 6. The kids loved the playground and the animals in the little petting zoo. The only negative thing we experienced was the overwhelming sewer smell when down by the playground/pool area.

We stayed here on a group tour in 2011 whilst visiting Yosemite. We were lucky to stay in a 'Yurt', which was a highlight of our trip. It has basic facilities, but was very comfortable and it was an enjoyable stay. It was cold at night despite stay mid-winter, so pack warm clothes and get a fire crackling after dark! It was so much fun - I'd love to bring my kids back here one day!

Room Tip: Stay in a Yurt for a different and highly enjoyable experience!

we get online reservation and got a very small spot for our rv. the ladies at the front counter were very nice and accommodated us and were able to change spots with no problem. lots of stuff to do for the kiddos and Yosemite is not a very far drive at all. we are planning to come back next summer.

Just stayed at this wonderful campground near Yosemite, within a 1/2 hour drive to Yosemite's entrance. Very pretty location with lots of pines. There is a lot to do here, and great for families. pool, panning for gold, petting zoo, etc. it was just my husband and me, but looked like a great family place, too. We stayed in our 35' motor home with 2 slides. Arriving late, we discovered the site was very narrow for 2 slides due to the pine trees. We scratched the sides of the RV (black/gold) backing in. :-( we were able to get the slides out, but weren't able to use the awning all week. The next day, I mentioned the tight space and the park removed some branches for us and our door didn't hit the tree when we opened it. Ha ha! Great service! (This is my only reason for 4 stars vs. 5 . . . With such a big rig maybe we should have been given a bigger site.). They have wi-if and direct tv service, both really iffy. But, considering where they are located, it was a plus to have the limited services. Still loved the RV park and location, and hope to return one day!

We spent two nights in a premium cabin while visiting Yosemite. We don't have kids, so a lot of the amenities of the resort itself didn't apply to us. But the cost/location compared to other places to stay in the area was very competitive.

The premium cabins are basically just a manufactured cabin pulled in on a tailer with a deck built on the front. But they're plenty large enough for two couples for a few nights. The stove and fridge were super helpful to make dinner after two long days of hiking. We'll definitely be staying at Yosemite Pines if we're in the area again!

Four families camped together here with 1 RV and 3 tents. We planned the trip to see Yosemite. The highlight of our trip ended up being a day trip to Rainbow Pools which was only 10 miles from our campsite. Here there is a waterfall into a deep swimming hole with streams on either side for kids to explore. A 25 foot rock to jump off and a slide off the side of the waterfall with an 18 foot drop into the water are great for the adventurer or to be entertained by the adventurers. Several kids in our group made the jump and slide ages ranging 8-12 years old. Yosemite park was about an hour drive from the campsite on windy roads. We made the trip on 2 days and it was amazing but next time hope to stay in the park for this. The campsite was clean, had amazing hot showers and wonderful friendly staff. There is a nice pool, petting zoo, nature hike and movie outside on Saturday night. We loved the place and all 9 kids want to return ASAP!
