Hello there, fellow TripAdvisee. My wife and I are residents of Chicago, home of 20+ Michelin star restaurants. We came to Groveland expecting a very mellow town (and it was, believe me). But we didn't expect to find a restaurant like Charlotte Bistro & Bar, which was the highlight of our stay. It was near as good as our actual the trip to Yosemite Park (not exactly apples to apples). It certainly smoked our B & B.
Food was excellent. Service was really generous with us. They treated us like kings and had a whole list of red wines that I have never tried before from some of the more remote areas of Cali (lots of Rhone blends). Cheese course was one of the best I've ever had. I wouldn't miss this restaurant if you are in Groveland. Buy some of the more expensive reds on the list (which is still very inexpensive) to try some unusual California wine. Even the stuff by the glass was delicious.
