for 17 yrs we have been staying at Seacliff...rooms are romantic, fireplaces, whirlpool hot tubs, huge windows looking out at the Gualala river where it meets the ocean. has a small deck & binoculars to catch whale sightings. Kathie & Susan at the front desk are 2 of the best ladies, full of great tips for restaurants & nearby attractions. We always ask for room 4D..upstairs with a vaulted ceiling & view are fantastic....love everything about it!

This is a great place. We had room C1 which is on the bottom floor. Seacliff on the bluff consists of several (I think there was 4 or 5) 2 story buildings each building had two rooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. The room had a jetted tub, an electric fireplace, and a private deck. The view from the room looked out off a bluff to the Pacific. We could hear and watch the surf from our room. The décor was a little dated but clean and comfortable. There was no complimentary breakfast but the room did have a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. We even had a complimentary bottle of cider. The staff was very nice and full of information. An easy walking path ran along the bluff past the hotel. Shops including grocery and a restaurant are within a couple of blocks. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Second story rooms would have less people walking.

My husband and I have been visiting Seacliff for 10 years now. It has become our spot! Whales are so easy to see from our balcony during the seasons of migrations. Love everything about it. We love the fireplace and sunsets. The staff is amazing and the whole place extremely relaxing!

Very romantic setting for couples with two person jetted tub in each bathroom, a view to die for at sunset but actually all day, a firelplace, champagne or cider, king bed, and very high, vaulted ceilings in the upstairs units. Cannot beat the price on the coast and they have great 3 for price of 2 special during the week. It's a fun drive to get there. We try to go every Thanksgiving week for a three day getaway. While listed as a motel the property is way more like a vacation condo, with microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Very accommodating staff.

Room Tip: Any of the top floor rooms because of volume and quietness. Southernmost units, upstairs and down...

We stayed here in October. I picked the hotel only because it looked roughly halfway between San Francisco and Legget. Wow, we fell for this place in an instant. It's a great value, in a small and charming seacoast town. There is everything in the room we could want, and more - clean premises, good mattress, jacuzzi, separate shower, fridge, fireplace, private deck, and a private view of the ocean and sunset every night. We were stunned when we opened the door to our room (not unlike a Trip Advisor ad I've seen since on TV!). The front desk ladies were very nice and answered my many questions about the area patiently.

We liked The Seacliff so much, that we cancelled our reservation at another property further north, and just stayed for three days of beauty and quiet! There's no way to describe having a private deck, a glass of wine, and the sun dropping below the Pacific Ocean. High five to Seacliff :-)

Looking for a Thanksgiving respite, we were able to get a reservation at Seacliff on the Bluff on rather short notice. We'd considered staying there several times, but always wound up further north up the coast at the more frequented areas (Mendocino, Fort Bragg, etc.) No more! Consisting of 4 buildings of 4 units each, we were thoroughly and pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay. The views are incredible, and sound of the surf is comfortingly muted, and the room itself well appointed. Microwave, mini-fridge, jacuzzi tub (with window out to the beach), binoculars and a king size bed. My husband loved the upholstered rocking chairs!

The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful. We couldn't have asked for anything more. As evidence, we've already booked out next stay!

Room Tip: If your fond of foam pillows, like me, you'll need to provide your own. Enjoy!

This is our favorite motel on the Mendocino Coast. The view is breathtaking. Rooms have been recently refreshed with new carpets, paint, bedding, etc. You can't do better for the reasonable price on the Coast.
