Bones Roadhouse looks like a hole in the wall biker bar off Hwy 1 in Gualala. Once inside dollar bills, car license plates, and antique children’s pedal cars cover the ceiling. Grab a table by the window for spectacular views of the coastline, waves, and sunset. The menu is extensive but order anything barbecue, cooked right outside on huge pits.. The slab of St. Louis pork ribs is substantial enough to be split between three people. The pulled pork was tender and sweet. Entrees are served with corn bread and choice of two sides: mac and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, Creole pasta salad, or beas and two types of sauce. Beer on tap goes well with the barbecue. Clam chowder is also excellent. All kinds of people are part of the ambiance. Service is terrific, prices are reasonable. This is a great place for a casual meal with great views and if you are lucky, some dancing and blues!
