I didn't stay at this hotel but would have except I really needed a spa day so I chose a cheaper place and was then able to get the Body Bliss combo here. Anyway that said, the property is in a great location and I really like this sort of rustic modern feel so I would stay here. I was early for my appointment and there was some confusion about the facilities but that said I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who also brought me some water while I waited by the really nice pool area. First confusion, the website does not mention the spa is open to the public but I took a chance and called. Second confusion: did not know the hot tub was outside so I had a suit for the hot tub but it was in a shady area and the temperatures were very cold this past weekend and there is no steam room or sauna so not really a SPA by my definition. That said, I have been to Osmosis two times - one not so good experience and one okay. Janie (or is it Jennie) the spa director here at Boon is amazing. I have some experience with massage and I can tell you this woman is a great massage therapist and she is so nice and attentive - truly a healer. If you are staying at Boon or in the area, do yourself a favor and book a massage or one of their special packages, your body will love you for it!

Spent 2 nights @ the Boon with my doughter and loved it. The manager Ted was such a nice guy he made us feel at home. The place was very clean and cozy and breakfast was delish! Can wait to go back and visit again.

Room Tip: room by the pool

Great place and service at this rustic but hip hotel. Loved the concept...Love the fireplaces for those cold evenings and early mornings (nice touch!). Setting was great! Bathroom could have been bigger.... maybe would have enjoyed a room that the back does not view a trailer park....next time I will ask for a room on the other side....There will be a next time! Also the bikes were fantastic for my early morning ride to Armstrong Woods. My husband loved his massage by Janie (highly reccommend)...and Teddy was a fantastic host!
**A great find in RR and will return**

What an oasis in Guerneville. Amazing on all counts.

On the one hand it fits in with its surroundings. It's quite unpretentious, pared down, and no attitude.
On the other hand, it has a lovely clean, modern, boutique vibe. It is something you won't find anywhere else up there.

We had probably one of the best rooms which they called a suite, and it was great. Nice fireplace next to the couch in the living room, with a super comfortable bed and TV with a zillion channels to snuggle in and relax with in after a long day's galavanting about.

We loved the bikes that came with the room, that was a huge plus. We rode them to Armstrong Woods, over to Porter Bass winery, and all through town.

Thumbs up for a most awesome little honeymoon. Krista, Teddy and the gang made sure was an absolute pleasure.

We spent the first half of our trip in the city, and the second half at Boon. With family nearby, it made perfect sense.

Pros: super comfortable. We were there in October, off season, so it wasn't crowded, but I can't imagine that being fully booked would change the atmosphere any. The room we stayed in was a unit with it's own private balcony and a fireplace....we shared a wall with a second room. Though we weren't there much during the day, every moment there was relaxing.

We were greeted by the friendliest woman I'd met in quite a while, and she set the tone for the location: earnest, not pretentious in the slightest, friendly, warm, and very relaxed.

The room was big, the fireplace was great. The bed was very good. Cork floors over hardwood, a fridge, and a great shower. We had to use the heat, and it took some practice to get the heater and the fireplace to work together well (tip: set the heat super low, as the fireplace puts out a lot of heat).

In the cooler months they deliver breakfast. Great coffee.

The location is great. Clear sky, huge trees, a short bike ride (they have bikes you can borrow) to the Armstrong Woods, as well as a very short distance to town. We didn't get a chance to try their restaurant in town, but we've heard good things.

Everyone we talked to knew about the hotel and spoke well of it.

All in all, it's a fantastic place. We'll be staying at Boon every chance we get.

Room Tip: I'd go with any of the rooms, but the larger units with a private deck / patio are fantastic.

Wanted to love Boon and actually liked a lot about it but for the price felt a bit underwhelmed. In fairness there aren't a lot of places in this area that are as nice and certainly appreciate what the owner has done with an older property.
The pros: very comfortable beds, top quality linens, nice pool setting and grassy areas for playing bocce ball or croquet, bikes offered (with a qualification), delicious continental breakfast.
The cons: the aforementioned continental breakfast isn't served until 8:30 at the earliest, nothing in the room to allow for making a cup of coffee or tea for early risers (an electric tea kettle perhaps?), the bikes were not in good repair (as I headed into town all of a sudden the bike was going in one direction and the handlebars in another, saddle came lose on a different bike), area around ice machine in pool area very unappealing as water leaks all over under the mat.
These may sound like nit picky things but at the price charged it should be a more complete experience than it is. The honor bar idea for alcohol is a nice idea but how about offering some beverages at no cost i.e. sparkling waters or soda?
Staff seemed nice, room cleanliness was excellent. All in all, a pleasant experience but would not rush back.

Room Tip: try for room as far away from road as possible as Armstrong Woods Road is a freeway during the day a...

First one must consider the hotels location...Guerneville is not a raging metropolis! With that note this property is a gem! Located a short 15 minute at most walk from the center of town is this little oasis. We stayed two nights and had a very enjoyable time. The property is dog friendly and we brought ours. Originally we had been given room 6 on our email reservation and our sleep quality may have been better in that room rather than Lucky 13 which we were given. 13 was right next to the highway and it was quite noisy. That said the room was fine. Minimal in furniture which we like. Nice little fire place, very comfortable bed and a nice little back yard area that the dog loved. The grounds are beautiful. The very clean pool was a little too cold to take a dip in but the hot tub was very enjoyable. The place has a feeling like a little resort out of the 60's!
The staff is very efficient and welcoming. Sue ( I think that was her name) showed us our room and made certain to know what time we wanted our breakfast delivered each morning. At that exact time each morning a very pleasant man delivered us our muffin or biscuit, yogurt and fruit or egg and fruit and fresh pressed coffee! Our bed was made and all towels changed while we were gone. Prior to leaving Teddy made sure everything was taken care of.
We received a wonderful massage from the Cyndee at the spa. Lovely.
There are treats and an honor bar in the room as well as an honor's bar at the pool. Everything is very well thought out!
The only con for us was the level of noise in our room and it also backed up to a trailer park where we could hear the folks behind us. Other than that the perfect stay!

Room Tip: Try and request a room further in the back for a more quiet stay!
