My husband and I stayed at Santa Nella house in early January (Tues-Fri), and it was splendid. Bob made us an amazing frittata the first morning and French toast flambe our last morning. Each day we had amazing homemade granola and mint yogurt with fresh berries. Wine and cheese each evening was excellent, with ripe pears and delicious gourmet cheeses. We loved the hot tub off the back deck, and felt very comfortable in the house. Can't wait to come again!

Room Tip: We loved the library room because it was the closest to the hot tub!

My wife Laura, and I stayed at the Santa Nella House in November of 2011 during Thanksgiving week (Sun - Wed) and did the same again this year prior to heading up to Ashland, OR for Thanksgiving. Another fabulous stay and gourmet breakfast's provided by Bob, the owner. Surprisingly we were the only patrons during this visit however Bob had mentioned that things have been a bit slow in the area. Bob was the usual fantastic host offering advice on wineries to visit as well as restaurant recommendations and in fact he made a reservation for us at the "River's End" restaurant in Jenner (excellent restaurant btw).

I unfortunately had to spend all day Monday and again Tuesday morning working on my computer and Bob had no problem with me essentially taking over his front room with my laptop and work stuff. He even brought me coffee well before the 9a breakfast time as he saw that I was up early and having to work!

All 3 breakfasts were fantastic however on our final morning (Wed) he made us bananas foster, which was amazing! Each and every night he had cookies and sherry out and the 3 of us shared a bottle of wine on our final evening together!

Another fabulous stay at Santa Nella House and can't wait to stay there again, but this time it won't be a 2 year interval before our next stay as we're hoping to get back up there next spring.

We stayed for 6 nights on our honeymoon and by the time we left we definitely felt like members of the family. Bob and Betsy were the most gracious hosts you could ask for. Every morning we had an exquisite, organic breakfast prepared by Bob waiting for us when we came downstairs. There was wine and cheese every evening and the most delectable sweets made by Betsy every night before bed. My husband really became quite spoiled. Bob always had the best recommendations for local sights and dinner. The inn is just a few miles from everything you could possibly want to see. Definitely take the time to stroll through Armstrong Forest and the drive to River's End restaurant is worth every minute for the unforgettable sunsets. We think all the time of when we can return.

We spent 4 nights in the blue room. It was a very nice room - very peaceful, with view of some redwoods outside the room. There was a fireplace in the room, although we didn't try it.

As another reviewer mentioned, wine & cheese hour was great. We met several interesting people, both local and from around the world (China and Switzerland). I wish we could have spent more time with some of them! The cheeses included local goat cheeses - all excellent.

The innkeeper Bob was fantastic. His breakfasts are great, different each day we were there. There is a nice hot tub (used it) and sauna (didn't try it). Bob hosted wine & cheese, and gave quite a bit of good, local advice. One exception - if he tells you Korbel is an easy walk and you plan to taste, think twice. :) We had a beautiful walk, but ultimately came back and got the car before we got there. Bob had quite a few discounts available for tastings.

The inn is located in a nice, central area. The coast (beautiful!),Sonoma, Santa Rosa, most of the vineyards and the Armstrong Redwood Forest are all reasonable drives. We even found a local apple orchard up in the hills.

We weren't sure what to expect as this was our first time at a B&B and my first time on a motorcycle...so we did arrive late the first night we stayed due to directions being wrong off google and us going an hour the wrong way on curvy roads with the sun going down...however Bob was there to greet us and gave us a tour of the place and we got settled in Emma's Room. This place is great....to say it is "charming" would be a complete understatement. We had Bob's French Toast the first morning of our stay...and oh my gosh...it was WONDERFUL. Neither one of us are big wine drinkers so Bob suggested some great wineries to go to that had added attractions...because in his words "its not just about the wine". So our day was filled with driving through beautiful hills and acres of vineyards. Santa Nella is a special place with a lovely host and the much needed "relax" time from hectic lives. I would highly recommend it to others and if given the chance would return as often as I could.

Room Tip: We stayed in Emma's room...loved it!! :) I think any of the rooms would be wonderful.

We stayed just a single night at Santa Nella but I would wholeheartedly recommend it - the house and its owners are thoroughly charming. Guerneville is a great little town, close to the spectacular Armstrong redwood forest and featuring a truly excellent Korean pop-up dinner restaurant in an old diner. The Russian river that flows through it is well worth a canoe. At Santa Nella I particularly enjoyed getting to know our widespread and interesting fellow travellers (including a guy from NASA and two Swiss psychologists) at wine and cheese hour (put on by Bob, our friendly and knowledgeable host).

Really not sure what NBC2013's problem was but: we came back after 2 years for our second 3 night stay. The place was as beautiful as we remembered. It is in a very quiet area of the valley yet minutes away from anything you need. This B&B offered us: a beautiful room off the library, 3 excellent breakfasts (the omelet was perfect), passes to 3 days of wine tasting through out the Russian River Valley and Sonoma, 3 evenings under the stars in the hot tub. Bob, the host, was as professional yet as friendly as anyone would want. Also, have you checked B&B prices in Healdsberg? This place is a steal. The Santa Nella House was only missing one thing, Bob's beautiful bride Betsy whom we met on our last visit. Yet Bob, made our stay and our comfort his priority. We will return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Really, just look online. The library room was great because it had a fire place and close to the h...
