Didn't have high expectations going in, but our experience was much worse. Food was bland, meat was tough, music was bad, etc. Overall the restaurant is dated and needs a major update. Go other places to eat.

A little pricey but worth it. The food was delicious, the wait staff pleasant. Had dinner there. They don't take reservations unfortunately and they apparently can get crowded on the weekends. We went early.

My husband, his brother and I ended up here while looking for food and drinks one night. We chose this place because it had some live entertainment (a man singing jazz / playing the trumpet with a piano / accordion player).

They were great and it added to the flavor of our one night in this small town. The food was better and more than expected. We got a 16" pizza which barely fit on our table. Their drink selection was adequate.

Some of the fellow patrons got a little overly loud from over-drinking, but it kind of seemed not so out of place somehow.

They also had some interesting art on the wall for sale. It was fun to look at.

We are locals (main house in Santa Rosa, but own a cabin next door to Guerneville in Rio Nido), so have dined at Main Street on occasion over the past four years. The food was always good, especially the wood-fired pizzas (Fireworks is our fave), but recently the cuisine has not only become very good, but the main course presentations have become first-class: very professionally done. An out-of-town friend we took there recently ordered the fresh fish of the day, which was grilled salmon that night, and his dinner was as delicious as the presentation on the plate was beautiful. Another friend ordered the prime rib, which was tender and done to perfection, and I ordered the pot roast, which was perhaps the tenderest, most flavorful pot roast I have ever ordered in a restaurant, served on a bed of mashed potatoes with au jus gravy and vegetables. I have never seen comfort food like this served with such an attractive presentation! We dined too early for the evening's entertainment (usually local jazz groups), but the cabaret-style music is one of the reasons regulars enjoy this place so much, in addition to the great food. Main Street doubled its square footage a few years ago by taking over the retail space next door (they opened the walls in several places), and installed all-new lighting, seating, and attractive black granite tables, moving and enlarging the entertainment stage to include a black baby grand piano, and converted the old, tiny stage into an attractive sit-down bar. Definitely give Main Street a try, especially for dinner during the evening live music (starts generally about 7pm), the service is very attentive and friendly, and prices are moderate and reasonable. Nice little wine list featuring local Russian River wineries, as well as beer and cocktails. Nice, large windows fronting Main Street Guerneville for people-watching, and a few small tables outdoor on the sidewalk for dining in warm weather. I believe they still do take-out. Oh, and if you see any of the framed artwork on the walls that you like, it's for sale! You won't be disappointed!

I love the pizzas, and the live music. Wonderful jazz and blues artists appear regularly. A friendly group of people. This restaurant has been around for many years, and is a popular place on the river. Well worth a visit.
