3-Zero Cafe is a quaint little breakfast spot on Hwy. 1 in the same building as the HMB airport. It's a local's favorite, and for good reason. The prices are fair, the service is fast, and breakfast is good (haven't been there for any other meals).

It's not a very big restaurant (I think maybe seats 50-60 inside?). They do have outdoor seating -- wonderful on sunny days -- where you can watch planes come and go, as the runway is just right over the chain link fence. Sometimes, you'll see people getting off their plane and walking from the tarmac into the restaurant.

The place gets packed on the weekends, so get there early.

Food was outstanding, service was poor. Not enough servers, unfriendly, coffee was terrible and expensive.

Great Breakfast! On a landing/takeoff strip for small airplanes. Loved eating on the patio, watching the airplanes. Reasonable prices. I ordered the Crab Omelet. The crab wasn't fishy at all. Very mild and good. Onions, bell peppers, Monterey Jack cheese and avocado made this omelet delicious. It was served with house potatoes and an English muffin. My husband ordered the Southeastern Omelet with Andouille sausage, italian sausage, onions, cheese and salsa. I tried a bite...it was awesome, especially if you like spicy foods. His omelet came with the House potatoes and an English muffin also. The only downfall was the service was slow. Highly recommended.

Stopped at this little gem on our way up to San Francisco this morning and what a treat! Don't be put off by the outside .. It's what in the inside that counts! Gotta try the brioche French toast, just delightful covered in fresh strawberries and blueberries. Didn't even need syrup! Great service and great food. It was too overcast to watch the planes take off and land, but so with it for the food and reasonably prices. My husband is a pilot so we loved all the plane decor. Had a nice talk with the owner. Too bad we live in Michigan because this would be my new spot for breakfast!

Yes, it's at the local airport; but seeing a plane take off or land is a rarity. Lots of interesting airplane memorabilia though. Service is friendly. Breakfasts are good size and tasty. Other meals are okay.
