Enjoyed the beer here and the menu had lots of options. Had the fish and chips and they give you a lot. Most food under $20, they are proud of their beer .. their prices more than the craft beers in our area, but we enjoyed our lunch and would go back.

We visit this area about once a year on a trip from the UK, and always include a visit to Half Moon Bay Brewery, keeping an eye on the weather forecast and choosing a sunny day so that we can enjoy eating outside overlooking the bay. The menu includes lots of delights, excellent clam chowder and seafood entrees but our favourite is the prawns and fries. Friendly and attentive service and a great atmosphere. Beer's good too! We'll be back.

I ate here three times while I stayed here over two days. I had the fried calamari, fried perfectly, the clams in a delicious broth and the fabulous apple crisp ala mode. The salads are very fresh and the deserts delicious. The patio is nice, except there where many barking dogs which can be more annoying than crying children.

We started our weekend getaway here.

Food: The oysters were fresh and tastey. Shrimp was a perfect blend of spice, citrus, and butter. The seared ahi was passable (to be fair, im used to ahi from Hawai'i).

Brew: I started with the Princeton-by-the-sea. It was a little too citrus-y for me. I switched to their Bock Bock Easter Bunny (obviously seasonal) and it was yhe perfect complement to what we were eating.

Service: Perfect! This establishment is no stranger to doing volume. So don't be concerned about a crowd. Food comes out quickly and servers do multiple "call backs" to make sure that everything is to your satisfaction.

All in all a great start to our weekend.

A bit on the pricey side. Great view of the harbor. Happy hour from 11:30 to 18 h. A great place to relax.
