Just stayed here this past weekend and had an enjoyable experience. Cookies and coffee upon arrival (although wine, cheese and crackers would have been nice as most places have started doing). We upgraded our room for $20 to a room with a fireplace. VERY comfortable sitting by the fireplace with the rain coming down outside. The room was equipped with a coffee maker and a nice selection of coffee, tea and hot cocoa. Nice view of the golf course. Loved the outdoor seating with a nice fireplace for the evenings. Having a refrigerator was nice but would have also liked to have had a microwave. Our overall stay was wonderful and we will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here in December, 2017 as one of my daughters was getting married near Half Moon Bay, CA. We arrived from Seattle a little early and were able to check in without any hassle whatsoever. We had a two queen room on the second floor overlooking the golf course. The room was magnificent in every way: spacious, comfortable, bright and homey. The beds were some of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in and I slept like a log. The place is very quiet. The hot tub and pool are great and there is an outdoor fireplace next to the pool that makes it feel like home. The complimentary breakfast is higher end and filling. Lots of selections from yogurt parfaits to waffles and fruit. Complimentary new papers round out breakfast. The lodge staff is about as good as it could get - friendly, helpful and will chat with you about anything. I will definitely return to this place. Lastly, but not least, this place feels like and old style place you have always wanted to bring the family to. Please, please stay here. It is not pricy at all. You get MORE than you pay for here. It is a great throwback place!

Room Tip: On the golf course side.

You really need a car if staying here and it’s pricey if coming from SF airport. The shops are a long walk away taking about an hour each way. A shuttle service would be helpful as even an Uber and Lyft were unavailable.

Rooms were quite large but old fashioned. The bathroom was compact but did the job. The coffee maker was annoying, and didnt make nice coffee. Not being American I have never encountered no kettle in a hotel or motel room. I couldnt see the point of a pod type machine that made horrible coffee, why not a cappuchino machine?

Breakfast was good but kind of strange as well. Boiled eggs in a cabinet but they werent peeled! Whats with that! The waffles were good though.

The hotel staff were very nice and so were the ladies that cleaned the rooms.

The rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable.

Pros: lots of parking, fresh cookies in the lobby in the afternoon, rooms have good views of the golf course.

Cons: old and very outdated. My boss found a spider in his bed when he pulled back the bedsheets. Another person found ants in the bathroom. Sliding glass door to balcony didn’t slide well and was difficult to open. No restaurant or bar at the hotel, only option is Original Joe’s next door.

Our second stay. King room (with fire place and wood provided!), that allowed us to have our two small dogs. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, nice staff. Minor disapointments. One day (we stayed 5 days) we received very thin, worn, stained bath towels not the big fluffy bath sheets we had other days. Also the dining room chairs need steam cleaning or recovering, many unsightly stains. Won't stop us returning though.
