We have been here twice now on our way to other places. It is a great place, we have had the studio room, 2 adults and 2 children. This time the in-laws were with us and had a room in the main house. We were not on a b&b rate, the in-laws were. However, there was a huge amount of breakfast food left for us in the studio to allow us all to have breakfast together. A nice touch. Directed to the Queens at Askham for a lovely dinner, a bit cheaper than the pub down the road but excellent food. Would recommend this to anybody.

We stayed here for a base while walking in the Lakes. Met by the very friendly, helpful owner on arrival with information about the area and plans for breakfast.

It looks like the accommodation is either adjoining or part of the owner's own living accommodation - despite this it felt private and was very quiet.

Kitchen kindly fitted out with juice, milk, cereal, bread etc on arrival.

Couldn't ask for more in an economical base to explore the surrounding countryside.

Room Tip: The apartment has a great kitchen/dining arrangement.

Really enjoyed our stay here! We stayed in the 4 person studio room & it was lovely! Everything we needed was there for us & the owners were very helpful! We were even left bread, milk & orange juice in the room & everything we asked for was available. It was only 10 min drive into the town of Penrith where we had a good night out! Will definitely stay again

We arrived late, and the streets were dark. GPS doesn't exactly map to the location. We called the owner, and he guided us there by phone. Thanks!
Very large room, extremely comfy bed, and excellent freshly cooked breakfast the next morning.

Well located on the southern edge of the village very short stroll from the George & Dragon. Very warm welcome from Chris and Clare who made our stay feel like we were staying with old friends. We struggled to get a table in the George and Dragon so were directed to the Queens head Inn in Askham. Comfortable room if somewhat over furnished. Lovely breakfast cooked just as we liked.
