“This is Sunday Supper”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Sunday evening dinner here is sublime. The best in classic Italian fare prepared perfectly. A small restaurant with limited seating but more than worth the effort to get a reservation. Always a great vibe and simply fun.

“Great little place!”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

Had one evening in Healdsburg and my San Francisco Bay Area family said we should try to get in to Scopa. She had heard it was great but was unable to get in during her last visit. Always up for a challenge, my husband called and left a message a couple of weeks before our trip and we got a promptly returned call confirming our reservation.

The food was fantastic. All four in our party tried different appetizers recommended by our wonderful server. Our entrees were excellent and exceptionally large portions for the price. We brought a bottle of wine in from our winery and vineyard visits that day and then happily ordered another bottle of a terrific Rose recommended by the server.

The service, food and atmosphere made for a really memorable evening. If we ever make it back to Healdsburg again (live in Virginia Beach), we will definitely return to Scopa.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 via mobile

We spent a couple days in Healdsburg and chose Scopa for dinner in the first night. Our reservations were early at 6:30 and the place was packed. While we had to wait another twenty minutes for our table it was worth it. We chose a bottle of Maurtison Zin upon recommendation of our server (another review). We also chose the Burrata for our appetizer and the Rib Eye for two as our main. The evening was excellent and adjacent restaurants were virtually empty. Scopa is our new fav in Healdsburg.

“True Trattoria Style”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Scopa is terrific. A low-key (not fancy), small restaurant with great food and well-priced Italian and local wines. It is very popular, so reservations are recommended (over the phone, beginning one month out from your desired date).

We tried some excellent appetizer specials featuring seasonal ingredients like grilled peaches and stuffed squash blossoms. Followed these with a pappardelle pasta special and an excellent ravioli stuffed with nettles and cheese - very tasty. Bread is extra, but the ciabatta and olive oil are worth it. Dessert and espresso were also great. The wine we tried was so good that we went to the winery the next day to buy a couple of bottles.

We are at 4 restaurants in Healdsburg. Scopa and Barndiva (while very different places) were both great. Willi's was good. Though the room at Dry Creek Kitchen is very pretty and the service professional, the food was a disappointment. Scopa is not to be missed.

“Very gluten-free friendly and great food”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

Little place. We loved it. You need reservations. We went on their winemaker Wednesday when then have a winemaker come and visit with you about their wines. Great idea. We started with olives and lupini beans (addictive) and my celiac husband had a great pasta dish with beef and pork ribs and I had the chicken. No problem for gluten-free. A bit tight quarters, but super friendly and really great food.
