“Super nice people...Rooms need renovation.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 February 2014

Set on a nice quiet street corner a few blocks from the town square, we felt very welcome when we checked in. All the details were explained, and we were offered a complimentary wine tasting in their very cool "Speakeasy" in the basement. Everything is clean, and the beds are comfortable. But our room was in dire need of renovation. There were two, yes two, electrical outlets in the main room. Each one of them was used by either a lamp or the bedside clock. The bathroom had two outlets, but all the fixtures (sinks, shower, etc.) are either out of date or just not quite installed properly. The fixtures in one sink were easily displaced, almost like they ran out of time to finish the job properly. The decor is predictably Victorian kitsch. The breakfasts were delicious if a little overwrought. I do like something other than just eggs and bacon from time to time. But offering up attempts at fancy gourmet dishes seems like they're trying too hard. However, huge credit for having fresh coffee and cookies available throughout the day. This is a comfortable option with sincere and friendly service. Just don't expect to be blown away by the design and ambiance.

They were so welcoming! The breakfast was delicious and the place was very clean. We loved the secret bar behind the bookshelf. They offered complimentary happy hour. The bartender was a hoot and it was great to mingle with the other guest. Would totally stay again!

A couple months ago I had the pleasure of staying at the Grape Leaf Inn. I booked upon rave referrals from my close friends that have traveled to the Healdsburg area annually for the past 10 years and rave of their favorite B&B on a regular basis. Hearing their experience I feel I held my expectations fairly high. I must say I was blown away.

The town of Healdsburg is the biggest little town I have ever experienced. The plaza is riddled with 5 star restaurants, cute shops and fun festivals are always happening at the "plaza."

The Grape Leaf Inn is within walking distance (about 2 blocks) it would be silly to drive. Located perfectly!

As we checked in, Kristen greeted us by name and insisted she helped out with our luggage. As she showed us to our beautiful room, we received a full tour along the way.
The entire length of our stay Kristen and her staff continued to meet every expectation and beyond.

When planning are itinerary for the day we were a little lost with 250 wineries "just in the dry creek valley." My suggestion is ask Kristen she is very knowledgeable of the area and was more than willing to share her favorites with us. She definitely pointed us in the right direction.

The Speakeasy is a great plus, nightly wine and cheese tastings. Rooms are meticulously appointed, beds are extremely comfortable "best nights sleep I've had in a long time" the wine could of help too!

The gourmet breakfast it a experience in its self, simply WOW!

The nightly treats just top it off. Hint Hint... The caramel corn is dangerous!

The attention to detail all around is really out of this world.
I will be back time and time again.

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at the Grape Leaf Inn in Healdsburg. The Inn is located a short walk from downtown Healdsburg yet nestled on a quite street in a residential area. The rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques and extremely comfortable beds. Highlights for me were the fabulous breakfasts and the unique bar, the "Speakeasy", located in the basement of the Inn. We will definitely be back for another visit the next time we are in the Healdsburg area. Thanks for a great visit!

This Inn is wonderful. The location is ideal, the rooms are beautful and comfortable and the breakfasts are the best we've ever had at a B&B. Amanda, the Innkeeper, couldn't have been more welcoming. We had a very small issue with our room key and she resolved it very quickly and painlessly, and even gave us a special treat for our "troubles", which were no trouble at all. And the Speakeasy was fun and served awesome wines. We would definitely return.

Nice B&B with a great location in Healdsburg. The rooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. Pleasant looking overall. Food is fine; standard upscale B&B fare. Service ok, there was no need to ask for help, but would have had to find someone if a problem arose. Took awhile for someone to greet us and check us in and just a quick "have a nice day" when leaving. Service at breakfast was handled adequately, but without much personality. Price was high, $400 for a one night stay (including the $50 one-night surcharge).

Room was fairly tight and the bed leaned a bit on the right upper side (collapsed mattress?). Also disappointing was the absence of hot water for my 9 am shower -- tepid at best. At breakfast we sat with an another couple and took turns tipping the rickety breakfast table as we used our knives and forks to eat. Was a bit of a comedy but also another disappointment for our $400 room. The house wireless signal was spotty and intermittent at best--I could only get a signal on a new Apple 5 while on the first floor.

The Grape Leaf could be an "A" but I only rate it a "C" because it is misses on some of the basics. I would have a hard time recommending this place to anyone, especially after considering the price.

Room Tip: If I had it to do over again, I would have checked the room and the facility closely. Rooms on secon...

Truly enjoyed our stay at this B&B Inn. It is very cozy with beautifully decorated Victorian rooms. The place is immaculate and impeccably well kept ! The breakfast served was scruptious. The concierge was truly a gracious host. Definitely recommend this to everyone seeking a romantic, peaceful getaway !!!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautifully crafted. The only difference is in size. It is located on a quiet stre...
