Belle de Jour was a wonderful choice for us. It is close to the center of Healdsburg, but not right downtown. The owners cooked a delicious breakfast each day and were very accomodating of food issues. They had lots of great advice about the area as well. I would definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

This was our first stay in Healdsburg and we couldn't have wished for a better place to stay than the Belle de Jour. The property is absolutely lovely. Our cottage #4 - Morning Hill was really nice, spacious and comfortable, the owners very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the place, things to do, restaurants, etc.. Recommended!

There's so much to do in Healdsburg, Dry Creek, Alexander valley and so on, that a weekend away goes very fast. The WineLand events are a great deal, you get wrist banded and glass for food and wine at more places than are humanly possible to visit, and some really great deals.

Enjoyed the hospitality at Belle de Jour again, great accommodation, breakfast is tasty and healthy, and wonderful company at breakfast and from the inn keepers.

This was our first trip to wine country and Tom and Brenda's Belle du Jour was a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the morning hill room which was larger than I expected from the photos - the window seat with pretty view could seat both my husband and me. The gas woodstove is a great touch in the cold weather - it does automatically shut off when the room reaches temperature though - coming on again when the temp dips. The setting is lovely - I'd love to go back when things are in bloom as there are gardens everywhere. The stars at night were amazing and we saw two deer the morning we left.

Breakfast was delicious both days we stayed - and we are good food lovers. Tom and brenda are warm and friendly and helpful folks . Between the room, the setting, the food and the people, we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend the Simi winery tour which is right across the street as well. The history of the building and the winemaker Isabelle Simi is fascinating and was a great kick off to our days of winery visits.

Belle de Jour Inn is the perfect place to stay in the wine country. Romantic rooms and grounds, great location near all the best wineries in the russian river and Alexander Valley area and the perfect host. Tom was a wealth of knowledge and helped us plan our day of wine tasting and the best places to eat in Healdsburg. We are Bay Area natives and had the best wine country experience. Thank you Tom.

My girlfriend and I spent a night here while wine tasting and hiking in the Healdsburg, Sonoma area. We had wanted to stay at the Haydon Street Inn just to meet the host Karen that everyone talked about, but we decided on this place instead. At Belle de Jour Inn there are about five "cottages" on the property, each with relative privacy. Although some walls are adjoining or nearby, we never heard noise from other rooms. Our room #3 ($225/night) had a queen bed, a small sofa (ok for two, but can't lay down!) and another sitting chair with a reasonable bathroom with a small jacuzzi tub/shower. The heat ran a Ben Franklin style gas stove. Yes, as a prior reviewer had noted the shower supplies came out of plain wall mounted device for shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, so one couldn't tell the product brands or names, but not a big deal to us. Breakfast included great homemade scones, sausages (which neither of us could eat), a fruit plate, an egg/cheese souffle, tea/coffee and a choice of fresh grapefruit or orange juice. Everything was tasty. Tom had a great sense of humor and offered everyone advice on wineries, along with discount 2 for 1 tasting cards. He directed us to some excellent wineries for pinot noir. Location is about 1-2 miles north of downtown Healdsburg square, and across the road from SIMI winery. Highly recommend Dry Creek Kitchen for dinner! Tom can arrange reservations in advance. I note many people gave 5 stars, but I gave 4 stars, not because we had any complaints or it wasn't nice, but it didn't reach the level of service and luxury of Calistoga's Meadowlark and Chateau du vie B&Bs, which were in the same price range. I can't compare it to other Healdsburg B&Bs.

Room Tip: All rooms are off the road and "cottage" like. Room #3 had a queen bed, small 2 person sof...

We came for our annual trip for the Wine and Food Affair and this was our second time staying here and big difference for us was that we we able to stay here for the weekend!

After sitting in traffic and Upon our arrival we were happily greeted by the owners Tom and Brenda (along with a bottle of Dry Creek Vineyard's Dry Chenin Blanc).

After our hellos Tom took us to the Terrace Room, which has a beautiful view of their spacious tree lined yard, so he gave us a quick run down on the fireplace and TV (Direct TV- which I don't have). But as soon as he left we opened the bottle, grabbed the glasses from the mantel and headed out back and sat in the two chairs! We soaked up the sun with our glass in hand and listened to the sounds of the birds, squirrels and the rustling of the leaves from the slight afternoon breeze...nature at its best and music to our ears!

It is so peaceful to sleep here and it's location is just on the edge of town so it's perfect.

Breakfast was wonderful and everything is homemade. My favorite are the warm blueberry scones...tasty alone but when you add a little butter it's heaven! They also made a hash brown bake with cheese, baked eggs in ramekins, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea... They have it all!

This was our second stay and I guarantee we will be back again! Thank you again for a great relaxing stay Tom and Brenda.

Room Tip: This room had a tub for two with jets
