“Rude server, we almost walked out in middle of tasting”
Reviewed 28 October 2012

we've been to quite a few wineries and this place is one of the few where we were ready to walk out before finishing. Our female server (don't remember her name) seemed annoyed that we wanted a cheese plate. More annoyed when we asked questions about the wine. And she got on the phone with a customer that wondered if there was enough time to stop by (it was 4:15) she was equally rude to them. Telling them she would not serve past 4:45. We waited a very long time for the cheese plate and very long time between tastings. We've waited longer at other places but her rude behavior really ruined the whole visit. Can't remember if we liked the wine.

“Pretty place, friendly people”
Reviewed 17 June 2012

We ended up at Merriam after a recommendation from a nearby winery. It has a nice setting on a quiet road very accessible to bike tours. We ate our packed lunch under an umbrella on their quiet patio. The winery hostess was super friendly and brought us wine samples outside along with a plate of delicious aged cheddar.

We had a great time but unfortunately didn't really care for the wines. They definitely weren't as good as many we tried on our trip for the same price.

“Make the detour off Hwy 101”
Reviewed 5 November 2011

We finally made a stop at this winery having passed it time after time. We were glad we did but sorry we did not stop sooner. We had a wonderful visit, very good wines and were served a plate of salami, cheese and nuts. We found almost all of their wines to be very good and prices were pretty reasonable for good quality wine. The tasting room staff was friendly and made us feel very welcome. They have a nice patio overlooking the vineyards and hills. We will go back!

“New Winery in Healdsburg -”
Reviewed 9 May 2010

The high ceiling tasting room is rustic chic. The tasting bar can accommodate 15 people elbow-to-elbow. The room can hold 100.

The wines are high quality. The prices reflect the investment made to get this project running. Expect $45 average bottle tariff. Pricy, but very nice wines. Big reds -- Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc... and Chardonnay.

A big plus: ot isn't as crowded as the downtown tasting rooms or as Dry Creek! Much more personal attention. There are a bunch of very nice 'family' wineries in the area and this is among them, so it was well worth it to do a loop down Limerick Lane over to Redwood Hwy, about a dozen wineries there.
