The architecture was awesome and the location is fantastic.
Sleeping was a piece of cake with such comfy beds - hard to get out in the morning. However the breakfast was a good enough incentive to get up. With a huge spread, they had fresh ingredients and even omelets and waffles to order, all complimentary!
Riding the hotel bikes was definitely worth it and get there early because everyone has the same idea.
We even ate at the bar one night and the food and cocktails were very nicely done. You can even get a free appetizer if you are staying there.
If I had to note one negative thing, it would be that there are not many snack options late night. My husband even went down to the bar at 10:30 pm to get a nightcap but they said the bar was closed. Although the bar/restaurant is closed at lunch too, we were able to get a beer out by the pool anyway.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Room Tip: No big tubs in the basic lower priced rooms.

Loved our stay at this hotel. The bed was so comfortable you wanted to stay in it all day! The bathtub was spacious and perfect for two, also had nice bath salts that left you with the most amazing scent. Also loved the complimentary sparkling water that you could refill to your hearts content. The waffles were flaky and tasty and the coffee, delicious, the rest a little minimalist. The hotel was so quiet and I had the most restful sleep! The staff, ok, the decor a little flat and the price a bit too hefty to give it a 5 for me.

Room Tip: End room with only one shared wall.

The H2 Hotel's location is convenient to the main shipping areas and restaurants so it was a good choice for us. The Hotel is simple and modern in design and Eco-friendly. We liked the simplicity of the services provided but others who are accustomed to a full service hotel may not.The breakfast every morning was convenient way to start the morning. The room was a little different for our taste. There was a lot of closet and drawer space for our clothes but the bathroom which was one room that included the toilet, sink and open shower had no place to put any toiletries. The room was fully tiled which made for cold floors and it was impossible to take a nice relaxing shower without splashing water all over the room. The faucet and the sink was an ill match as either the faucet was too high or the sink too shallow. Difficult to even wash your hands without splashing water all over the mirror. The bed was too soft for me and the air vent made grinding noises which made for a less than restful sleep.

Room Tip: Top floor (4th) corner room is quieter with more windows.

I loved staying here. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is for the bar area and the room size. The bar is lovely, very nice, but compared to Hotel Healdsburg, it pales a bit in comparison. Keeping in mind this is a "green" hotel, it attracts eco-friendly patrons who don't mind paying $400 per night for a room. The room is on the smaller side, but we had a great balcony, large enough for our party of 4 to sit and enjoy some wine. Another plus is the hotel keeps cold water--sparkling and still in every hallway on every floor. Glass jugs were available in the room. I loved the bathroom with its open shower and myriad soaps. I would definitely return.

This review may be a bit biased because on of my top favorite hotels in the world is the Hotel Healdsburg. H2 is very similar in feeling and design, but a bit more minimalist. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent. With the price being similar, I prefer the HH as there is a dedicated concierge and a bit more staff. This may be something to consider if you are coming from out of town and need assistance with planning wine visits etc. Both hotels are situated in the coolest area of the entire valley, with in steps of the main square. You really can't go wrong with either. Make your reservation well in advance as both properties are quite popular.

Room Tip: you can't go wrong here
