“A Favorite”

I love finding beautiful wineries with friendly people and tasty wines! I also like trying new places each trip to Sonoma, but occasionally I come across a place like VML that I know I'll return to on a future trip. We had planned to stop for a tasting and continue on for lunch elsewhere, but we really enjoyed the wine and the property is beautiful, so we ended up staying all afternoon!

“VML is a beautiful oasis serving outstanding wines”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

We joined as wine members over a year ago even though we live over 500 miles away in Temecula. We so love their production of Pinots and their Chardonnay that we increased our membership to six bottles very 3 months. As a perk of membership they allowed us to stay in their amazingly charming one bedroom cottage sitting up above the tasting room. We have spent 3 days & nights falling in love again with the grounds, the staff & the new vintages of wine. Loved the Sauvignon Blanc. After hours the cottage became our private haven and we had the gardens to ourselves. I've never meditated before but taking a walk through the fruit trees, flowers & serene water features made me stop, listen, & drink in the sounds of nature. Whoever designed these gardens must have a rich spiritual life to have created such a magical piece of heaven. A big shout out to Rachel, the tasting room manager, for taking us and our friends on a very personal & instructive tour of the winery. VML and Healdsberg have become our favorite destination well worth the drive, Same time next year you guys!

“Friendly winery”

They weren't very busy while we were there, but they were preparing for an event that evening. We tasted some very good wines while there, ordered some. Very knowledgeable staff behind the counter.

“Great wines”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 March 2014

This is a must stop place. From the moment you park, you are treated to fa garden and beautiful setting. The tasting room is filled with knowledgable staff especially Jennifer and Rachel, the manager. The wines cover whites through its forte: Pinot Noirs. A great way to start your wine tour on Westside Road in Healdsburg!

“Great winery find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

Came here on our hired driver's recommendation and we're glad we did. The employees were laid back yet very knowledgeable about their wines. They also had lots of tables to use for lunch during a full day of drinking.
