I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Would not put it up there with my favorites, however. Pretty lobby, nice spa and pool. Really good breakfast. The maid service was just ok. Room was not made up until 3pm each day. Rooms are nice...Small closet. More New York than Cali as far as size. Walls seem thin..Could hear neighbors or people in the halls. Central location to the main square.

I stayed at Hotel Healdsburg in July for two nights. I booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend who goes to Healdsburg once a year. Upon arrival I was greeted by the very friendly receptionist & also made some arrangements with the concierge who was wonderful. I really loved the contemporary feel of the hotel. Open walkways letting natural light come in. We had a very large room with a small balcony over looking the pool & courtyard. The room was nicely appointed & the bathroom was like a large spa.
The hotel is right on the square, which is adorable, & is within walking distance of great shops & restaurants.
We had purchased a package which included dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen, which is amazing! The package was really quite a steal.
In the evening the hotel has a large fireplace with a cozy seating area next to the bar to sit & have a glass of wine.
I really enjoyed this hotel & will be back again!

Spent 3 nights at HH for vacation this year and absolutely loved it. The location can't be beat, right on the plaza. Walk to shops, restaurants and tasting rooms and only a few miles from some of the fantastic wineries in the US. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Yes, it's on the expensive side, but you don't get nickel-and-dimed for every little thing. No charge for valet parking, an excellent full breakfast, snacks and drinks in the room (non-alcoholic), water by the pool or internet service. All usually extra or part of some bogus mandatory "resort fee" at similar properties. Rooms in the front can be a bit noisy due to the activity on the plaza and nearby restaurants, but it was not enough to bother us. My only other nit-pick is the size of the TV in the room. Painfully small for the viewing distance from the bed. Otherwise a great place for a home base in Healdsburg and highly recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street or brew pub for a quieter stay.

We were generally disappointed with the Hotel Healdsburg. The room was fairly small and came only with a tiny three drawer dresser on wheels. When we asked for additional hangers we were told we could only get three but we were able to get another wheely. And the front desk seemed to think they were better than everyone else and even tried to extract (extort) an additional $50 for a half hour later checkout which I requested the night before and also early the morning of checkout.

The bright spots were the valet/bellmen who were very courteous and helpful with directions, recommendations, etc as well as excelling in their core duties. The ladies helping with the complimentary buffet breakfast were also very friendly and helpful. The real benefit of the hotel is the location in that it is central to many wineries in the area and walking distance to many good restaurants. But in the end, it's not worth the money.

My wife and I booked and were charged for a deluxe room only to be told on arrival that we were not "in the system". Fortunately we remembered the reservation manager's name and were given a standard room at a reduced rate. When we got to the room we pulled out the desk chair and found a pile of someone's hair - as if they'd had a haircut in the room. A real gross out and incredibly shabby.
