Very modern, great place and extremely welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend this to couples. Extremely clean. Had a great time! Right near the main shopping street (just around the corner). Wonderful pool as well!

The Duchamp is not for anyone who likes "traditional" decor. It is very modern which we loved. The room was large with a very nice bathroom. It is very quiet and within short walking distance of downtown Healdsburg, which are definite pluses. My only "complaint" is the the continental breakfast is very modest considering the price of the room. I would have expected something more substantive.

We were recently in San Francisco to view the David Hockney show at the de Young and decided to spend a couple of days in Healdsburg before returning home to the Santa Barbara area. The Duchamp Hotel is always our first choice for accommodations when visiting the Sonoma Wine Country as we are attracted to the Zen-like ambiance, elegance and art-infused character of the property. It's location, just blocks off the square, is close to the many fine restaurants in town and meant that we didn't have to drive after enjoying cocktails and a bottle of wine with lunch or dinner. We very much appreciate the attention to detail that is evident throughout the inn, from the attentive staff to the impeccable housekeeping and grounds maintenance. Everything is clean and very well maintained. Breakfast is a casual affair served buffet style and offers yummy pastries, juices, great coffee, fresh fruit, granola and yogurt and is always a great way to start the day. As always, we were very satisfied with our stay at Duchamp and will definitely be back.

We booked this hotel on an impromptu trip over the holidays.

Pros
Location is prime. Walking distance to the square, restaurants and tasting rooms. Rooms are private bungalows and the property has a pool and hot tub (hard to find near the square). Wifi is included.

Cons
The rooms are pretty sparse. The grounds are also relatively bare.

All in all we had a good stay, but for the price, I expect a few more amenities. We'd likely stay at another spot in the future.

Just had the pleasure of staying at The Duchamp for four nights and it was wonderful. We loved minamalist design of the room and grounds. The individual cottages were private and the location of being off the square added to the zen like peacefulness. I was initially concerned that it is not a full service hotel with 24-hour staffing but we never noticed. The rooms are very clean (a huge item for me) and the shower was one of the best we ever experienced. House keeping was efficient and the breakfast, while limited to fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, pastry, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, coffee & tea was delicious and we looked forward to it every morning. We had weighed whether to stay at the Hotel Healdsburg or the Duchamp and I am so happy we chose the Duchamp. The only two negatives I would mention are the breakfast isn't available until 8AM and the beds were a little firm for our liking. Maybe featherbeds would help? Regardless we still slept soundly and every morning I would take a walk to Costeaux bakery (excellent) around the corner for my coffee. I highly reccomend the Duchamp if you want a relaxing stay in a modern setting.

Room Tip: Ask for cottages one, two or three.
